Malinga took Mustafizur Rahman’s wicket in his last ever ODI delivery. He ended his ODI career at peak as the ninth highest wicket-taker.
Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh in the first match at PR Stadium on Friday. Malinga who was playing his last ODI game stuck in his first over and bowled Bangladeshi captain for a duck. Lasith Malinga took three wickets in his last ODI match and gave only 38 runs.

Lasith Malinga played a total of 226 ODI’s for Sri Lanka and took 338 wickets. He is the third-highest wicket-taker for Sri Lanka in ODI cricket.

Lasith Malinga played his debut ODI match against UAE at Dambulla in the year 2004. Malinga has already hung his boots from Test cricket in the year 2011. Though, he will continue to play T20 cricket.
