IPL 2019: SRH won by 118 runs from RCB
What a ruthless display of batting from SRH openers. They completely dominated the game from the first ball. Rajiv Gandhi stadium was literally shaken by David Warner and Jonny Bairstow’s gigantic shots.
Winning the toss Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) elected to field first giving the host Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to set a total.
SRH Playing XI – D Warner, J Bairstow (wk), V Shankar, M Pandey, M Nabi, Y Pathan, D Hooda, R Khan, B Kumar(c), S Kaul, S Sharma.
Jonny Bairstow who is not considered as the first choice by England smashed his first IPL century yesterday. Also, David Warner continued his phenomenal form with an unbeaten 100. Bairstow and Warner, who scored his fourth IPL century, raised 185 for the first wicket in 16.2 overs. The Duo powered SRH to their highest IPL total of 231 for the loss 2 wickets.
Bairstow and Warner received praises from everyone, The former Indian Opener Sehwag and the cricketing legend, Sachin Tendulkar appreciated the guys.

Bairstow and Warner are the first in IPL to notch up three consecutive 100+ stands – 118 vs KKR, 110 vs RR and 185 vs RCB. With this, they also broke the record for highest IPL opening partnership. Earlier, it was 184 by Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn from Kolkata Knight Riders.

Chasing the enormous target, RCB batsmen came out.
RCB Playing XI – P Patel (wk), M Ali, V Kohli(c), AB de Villiers, S Hetmyer, C de Grandhomme, S Dube, Y Chahal, P R Barman, U Yadav, M Siraj.
RCB innings had nothing to watch out for other than the youngest player to feature in IPL Prayas Ray Barman and Colin de Grandhomme. The duo pushed RCB atleast to a 100+ total with a 50 run stand for the seventh wicket. Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers disappointed big time as in front of a monumental total of 231, everyone must have expected a fight from these batsmen.
Well, nonetheless the day belonged to Warner and Bairstow. Better luck next time RCB.
