IPL 2019: KXIP defeated CSK by 6 wickets
It was one of those days when MS Dhoni didn’t fire for CSK. Suresh Raina had batted well smashing a half-century with Faf du Plessis knock of 96 but the visitors couldn’t build on it to reach 200 and settled for 170.

The start was slow. Shane Watson struggled and was bowled by Sam Curran. Du Plessis and Raina added 12o runs for the second wicket to lift CSK. Raina was the initial aggressor taking risks as CSK gained momentum. By the 10th over, CSK had scored 79/1.
CSK went on to score 91 runs more with du Plessis leading the charge. At 37 off 28 after 10 overs, he went on to score 96 off 55 balls, hitting 10 fours and four sixes. Unfortunately, CSK could add just 7 runs in last 8 deliveries which kept the score to 170.

Opener KL Rahul made Chris Gayle look like a bystander, racing to a 19 ball fifty, the third fastest half-century this IPL. Punjab galloped to 100 run mark in just 9 overs. Till the two were on crease sixes were raining.
KXIP reached the target in 18 overs and grabbed 2 points just to avoid the lowest position in the table. KXIP headed up to the sixth position saying goodbye to this season on a positive note with a win.
