Virat Kohli produced a sublime 104-run knock as India defeated Australia by six wickets in the second One-day International
Australia won the first ODI at Sydney, where a very young Australian side was seen more professional as compared to the visitors. But the story took a turn in Adelaide. India levels up the series. This was the result that we expected to see in the first match: a target under 300 on a good batting pitch against the best chasers in the world.
That first game, Australia took three wickets with four runs on the board to gain the advantage. But Virat Kohli averages 69 in ODI run chases, and 99 in winning run chases. So, Virat was ready to take the challenge along with former skipper M.S.D who replied to the criticism through his bat. Well, it settles the debate on whether or not Dhoni still has it in him or no. He has proved exactly why he is so important to the team going into the World Cup. Got his second consecutive fifty and took India to victory.

This time, things went more as expected. Dhawan started the innings with flying colors, while Rohit Sharma bridged things after Dhawan left, and by the time Rohit departed, Kohli was ready to go. He went on to his 39th century in the format – absurdly – and when he left, Dhoni was ready to do the taking with his bat. He started, as usual, keeping the scoreboard ticking and Dinesh Karthik was there to quickfire 25 of just 14 balls.
