Indian captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted bat first. Indian openers (Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma) gave a good start to team India.
Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma build a partnership of 67 runs for the 1st wicket. After Dhawan’s wicket, Rohit and Virat build an important partnership 48 runs.

In the 2nd last ball of the 14th over, Rohit lost his wicket. Rohit Sharma scored 67 runs in 51 balls. India’s middle-order again failed to score big runs. Rishabh Pant scored only 4 runs and Manish Pandey scored 6 runs.

West Indies did not start well. West Indies lost both openers in the 1st Power play. After losing two wickets, Powell and Nicholas Pooran builds a good partnership of 76 runs for the 3rd wicket. In the 13th over, Krunal Pandya took two wickets.
After losing four wickets, Kieron Pollard and Shimron Hetmyer were on the crease. In the 16th overs of the match, play stopped due to bad light. After an official confirmation, the play has been called off and India won the match by 22 runs (DLS method). India won the 5th consecutive T20I match against West Indies.
