West Indies batting star Chris Gayle will retire from international cricket after the home Test series against India in August-September.
Gayle is currently playing the World Cup in England.
In February, Gayle had announced the World Cup would the last time he played ODIs for West Indies. But it seems that he has changed his mind and wants to turn up for the Windies one last time in the home series against India. Gayle has so far scored 2 half-centuries in England but has not been at his destructive best.

“It’s still not the end. I still have a few games to go. May be another series to go, as well. Who knows, we will see what happens.

My plans after the World Cup? I may play a Test match against India and then I will definitely play the ODIs against India. I won’t play the T20s. That’s my plan after the World Cup,” Gayle said.
India’s tour of West Indies comprises three T20 Internationals, three ODIs followed by a couple of Test matches.
