Angelo Mathews scores fifty pacing Lankans to a fine total
Mathews struck his maiden fifty in World Cup 2019. The veteran Lankan star scripted his 38th career ODI half-century. This was his second World Cup fifty in his 14th inning.
Mathews added 71 and 57 runs with Kusal Mendis (46) and Dhananjaya de Silva (29) for the fourth and sixth wickets, respectively, as Sri Lanka recovered from three for 2.
Lankans caused massive upset to the tournament’s favourites keeping semi-final hopes alive.
