Sachin Tendulkar will take to the commentary box for the first time as an official commentator at the World Cup and will also have a dedicated segment on Star Sports titled ‘Sachin Opens Again’.

Sachin’s commentary career will start with the England and South Africa tournament opener at The Oval, London when he will grace the commentary box for the first time.
The legendary Indian batsman will be part of the Philips Hue Cricket Live pre-show in Hindi and English which will run through the cup from 1.30 p.m. IST. Sachin will be joined by a number of esteemed panellists who played alongside him in their cricketing days.

Undoubtedly one of the greatest batsmen the world has ever seen, Sachin had a remarkable world cup career where he made several big scores during 6 tournaments and broke several records. Sachin finally got his hands on the elusive trophy in his last stint in 2011 when India defeated Sri Lanka in the finals to win the World Cup.
Sachin has scored a total of 2,278 runs in the six World Cups he played. He currently holds the record for best batting performance during a single tournament when he made 673 runs in 11 matches during the 2003 edition.
