India and West Indies were playing their 1st ODI of the series at Guyana. Unfortunately, rain spoiled the match. India won the toss and opted field first. The officials abounded the match after the completion of 13th over.
The rain stopped play 2 or 3 times during the match. In the 6th over when Chris Gayle was batting with Evin Lewis, play stopped due to rain for 1 hour.
Due to rain, the crowd who came to watch the 1st ODI at Guyana and viewers at home disappointed. Indian captain Virat Kohli did not let his mood down due to rain. Virat Kohli was in a good mood as he was seen dancing on the sounds of DJ several times in the match. Former RCB player Chris Gayle joined Virat Kohli and enjoyed their time together by dancing in the middle of the ground.
“It’s probably the worst thing in cricket — the stop-start game,” observed Virat Kohli after the rain finally won the battle on the day.
Rain spoiled the match but Virat Kohli and Chirs Gayle entertained all their fans.
The 2nd ODI of the series is on August 11 at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad.
