After Dillagi and Ghayal Once Again, Sunny Deol returns to directing for the third time with Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. The movie marks the debut of his elder son, Karan Deol, and Sahher Bambba.
‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ is directed by Sunny Deol. The film is about Karan Sehgal (Karan Deol) who is a mountaineer and owns a popular hiking club in Manali. And, Sahher Sethi (Sahher Bambba) plays the role of a popular vlogger from New Delhi in the movie, who is sent to Manali to review Karan’s seemingly overpriced club.
‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ Movie Review! The Plot
Karan Sehgal (Karan Deol) who is orphaned at a young age runs a more elite adventure camp in Manali. His clients include India’s high-profile individuals and the package costs a bomb. When the female lead, Sahher Sethi, who is a vlogger thinks it is ridiculously overpriced, she decided to expose the scam.
On The Upside :
‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’ is a stunning experience. Especially in the first half which is set in the unexplored and untapped local scenery of Manali and Spiti Valley. Sunny Deol opted for real locations rather than the usage of CGI and VFX and that candidly shows on the screen. Apart from that, Sunny Deol has done a fabulous job in direction. And the choice of places is wonderful. The biggest USP of the film is that it is free of bold scenes (so you surely do not have to worry about watching it with your family!) The way this movie has been shot and the kind of visuals the movie has, it feels like it has not been shot in India.
You will be left mesmerised with the beauty of the locations that Sunny has showcased in the film. The landscapes look straight out of a dream. Another highlight is the music of the film.
All the songs are a refreshing break from the grind of rap and remixes
Talking about Karan Deol’s performance, he has done fabulous acting in the film. Karan Deol has his dad’s expressive eyes. Added to this, he has a very cute and innocent vibe.
With his innocent vibe, Karan Deol is on the path to becoming the next Bollywood heart-throb
The female lead actor, Sahher Bambba, is also set out to impress the audience with her performance. She has played the role of a sharp-tongued Delhi vlogger with vigour.
On The Downside
There are some weak links in the film especially the writing part. The storyline of the film could do better. Also, the villain of the film lacked at some points. But the two debutants have done a great job in the acting department, despite their loosely written characters. Moreover, the second half of the film has a couple of loose ends.
All In All
Definitely a must-watch movie. After a very long time, here is a Bollywood romantic film with no vulgarity that you can watch with your family. The story revolves around love and family. For the characters of the film, Karan Sehgal and Sahher Sethi, family comes first. So yes, it’s a very beautiful, pure and high on emotion kind of a film. It takes one back to a time when movies portrayed family-driven romantic drama.
The music by Sachet-Parampara and Tanishk Bagchi is melodious and hummable and will leave an impact. Especially, the title track of the film Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. Also, the background score is top-notch.
Talking about the two debutants, Karan Deol who hails from the family of legends, Dharmendra’s grandson and Sunny Deol’s son, excels in action sequences and it gives us a glimpse of Sunny Deol and Dharmendra.
Sahher Bambba, on the other hand, is completely natural in the film. She not only looks beautiful but has also performed really well. Overall, Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas is a visually stunning film with some good tunes.
