Blank, the uniquely placed protagonist fails to make the larger point
Blank, an action thriller film by Behzad Khambata, starring Sunny Deol, Karan Kapadia, Karanvir Sharma and Ishita Dutta. Karan Kapadia has made his Bollywood debut in this movie. In the movie Akshay Kumar gives a cameo performance in the song, ‘Ali Ali’.

The movie is about a young Muslim boy Hanif (Karan Kapadia) who serves as a human bomb for Jihadis of unclear provenance, more specifically about a guy with a bomb planted inside his chest. Hanif, doesn’t remember who he is, but the bomb is ticking and the film is fraught with urgency.

In the movie Sunny Deol is the chief of the Anti-Terrorism Squad, he is having mustache look in the movie . The Storyline of the movie is interesting. Apart from crater-sized loopholes and cringe-worthy dialogues, it caters to every possible Bollywood-Muslim stereotype and age-old tropes.

An annoying soundtrack persists through the duration of the film but does precious little in adding to the necessary atmospherics that Blank desperately needs.
The young star- kid, Karan tried hard to impress the audience through his on-screen emotions. But his performance was submerged under confused and tangled plot that just gets messier along the way.
In the movie Ishita Dutta is completely wasted in her role, except to play cross and knots with a child in an attempt to get information out of her, and throw a few punches here and there.

The movie could have been more sharper and crisper, if the maker haven’t got excited with Sunny Deol in the film, who just drowns out everyone else. Sunny Deol will always be Sunny Deol, and that statement speaks for itself.
