The Delhi Assembly adopted a resolution on Friday in which the Bharat Ratna awarded to Rajiv Gandhi be withdrawn was demanded, but the AAP swiftly distanced itself from the reference to the Congress leader.
Seeking justice for victims of the Delhi riots an amendment was passed for the withdrawal of Mr. Gandhi’s Bharat Ratna. Hours after the meeting the party denied passing a state assembly resolution and Delhi legislator Alka Lamba was asked to resign from the AAP as an outcome.
According to Sources in AAP the disciplinary action has been ordered against S.Bharti and MLA Alka Lamba. S.bharti wanted to propose an amendment to the resolution but He just handed a note to Jarnail Singh, who read it out as part of the original resolution while Alka Lamba caused confusion by talking about the resolution to reporters outside the House.
when the issue was asked by Alka Lamba she told “The party chief has officially asked me to resign. The party was in favor of passing the resolution asking for the return of the Bharat Ratna awarded to Rajiv Gandhi. I disagreed with that… I put out two lines (on Twitter). The party asked me to delete the two lines and I did…”

मैं उस प्रस्ताव की प्रति को हटा रही हूँ,जो कि विधानसभा में पास ही नही हुई।— Alka Lamba (@LambaAlka) December 22, 2018
