Amid Rising Death Tolls and Unemployment Donald Trump Poses a Bigger Threat to America Than COVID-19
Highlights! Donald Trump is becoming America’s National Security Threat?
- The US, registered the highest number of death cases in a single day
- Donald Trump remarks wearing a facemask is ‘voluntary’
- The American economy is capsized by the virus
- More people claim unemployment than the past 10 months combined
Between Thursday and Friday, the US recorded the highest number of death tolls (1500) in a day according to John Hopkins University data. The total number of deaths in the US has reached over 7000 while the number of infected cases registered is over 278000.
In his Friday briefing, US President Donald Trump informed the citizens that CDC has urged all the citizens to wear face masks. A new study has found that the virus is spreading even as you breathe or talk to an infected person. A race to make homemade masks in the US has begun.
Watch: Donald Trump’s Press Briefing
Anthony Fauci, head of infectious diseases at the National Institutes of Health, speaking to Fox News on Friday, cited “recent information that the virus can actually be spread even when people just speak as opposed to coughing and sneezing.”
However, Trump said wearing a mask is ‘voluntary’ adding, “You can do it. You don’t have to do it. I am choosing not to do it. It may be good. It is only a recommendation, voluntary.”
Trump’s Response to The Pandemic
Donald Trump is failing his people in the biggest test of his Presidential career. He had been avoiding repeated warnings from his preceding government, the military and experts. He spent February pretending that the pandemic is a hoax or it will vanish on its own.

Come March he imposed border lockdown and isolation for the American citizens. His delayed response has coasted more lives than President George W Bush’s Iraq war.
COVID-19 Pandemic has engulfed the US in the worst way possible. The overstressed healthcare system is taking a toll on both the front line caregivers and the infected people. The shortage of ventilators, facemasks, medical overall and other basics, is posing more threat to lives than the pandemic itself.
To draw a comparison highest death rate in a single-day death toll in the world was last held by Spain 950 people; China, where the virus originated, had seen 150 as the highest number of deaths in a single day in February.
Growing Unemployment
With the international borders closed and trade practices dusted the world is walking into a COVID-19 induced recession. Experts feel the depression will show its effect next year and beyond that.

During the week in US 10 million people have claimed unemployment – more than the previous 10 months combined. During this week numbers have taken the same rocket-ship trajectory as the coronavirus cases. Last week it was a record 3.3 million new claims; this week it doubled to another 6.65 million new claims.
And How does the US president respond to it? By changing the subject to the oil industry! Suggesting that Russians and Saudis might just be cutting production and tweeting, “If it happens, will be GREAT for the oil & gas industry.”
Trump’s recent ratings showed that the US Citizens approve of his COVID-19 response. However, with the growing numbers of unemployed people along with the rising death toll tells a different story.
And Trump’s response to the situation certainly shows us the real ‘man’ behind the ‘showman’ – A man who poses bigger threat to America than Coronavirus.
