Baloch liberation movement is an international chapter that has been ignored by the world forums. If Kashmir is facing a human rights problem, then Balochistan is at genocide.

On 13th November “Baloch Martyrs Day” had been observed in London and activists raised the demand for justice. They urged India to raise its voice against the atrocities of Pakistan. In the last two painful decades, Pakistan security forces and secret agencies have abducted more than 20,000 Baloch people. Furthermore, many have been killed in the ongoing Baloch independence movement.
Baloch National Movement (BNM), Baloch Students Organisation Azad, and World Sindhi Congress (WSC) paid tributes to the sacrifices of Mir Mehrab Khan and also other Baloch Martyrs who were killed in Balochistan freedom struggle.
Moreover, this event is being organized across the globe, including South Korea and Germany with candlelight processions, prayers, and poetry sessions to raise international awareness on Balochistan’s freedom movement.
The UK hypocrisy over Balochistan and raising international awareness
Hammal Haider (Foreign Affairs Spokesperson BNM) said that it is our message to the Indian government to raise their voice against the atrocities by the Pakistan forces. He further added that India played a significant role in Bangladesh’s freedom from Pakistan and it must again come forward and support the liberation movement of Balochistan from the rogue state of Pakistan.
Haider also criticized the UK government for its hypocrisy over human rights violations. The UK government condemns the human rights violation in Kashmir but remained silent on the prolonged suffering of Baloch people in the hands of the Pakistan government. However, the British government had included Balochistan in Pakistan, and it paved the way for its vandalism.
So, Dr. Lakhu Luhana (General Secretary of WSC) said that it is an international issue and the UK, the US, and India all have to pay role to stop this genocide in Balochistan because it’s not only posing a threat to peace and security in Balochistan, but it also includes the entire globe.
PM Modi on Balochistan
PM Modi on 15th August 2016 in his independence speech also raised the issue of Balochistan attacking the atrocities by Pakistan. Many diplomats saw this as an unprecedented move exposing the human rights violations in Balochistan.
Naela Quadri, World Baloch Women Forum President, also hailed PM Modi for highlighting Baloch plights in his independence speech. She also called PM Modi, who became a hero of Balochistan. Because of his speech, the Baloch movement received attention again. Quadri has also revealed facts about Chinese army’s involvement with Pakistan in increasing atrocities on Baloch people.
Furthermore, Naela Quadri even urged PM Modi after his massive victory in Lok Sabha 2019 elections to raise the Baloch issue again for the second time.
