We have achieved a great number of accomplishments since the Apollo 11, now it’s time to figure out what we can achieve in the next 50 years.
From reusable rockets to base on the moon and Mars, humans are capable of achieving a number of accomplishment in the next 50 years.
Return to the Moon

- NASA has already revealed that it is planning to send the first woman on the moon along with another astronaut in a mission named Artemis.
- Artemis was the twin sister of Apollo and the goddess of the Moon.
- NASA has an intention of making some bases on the surface of the moon which will also help astronauts for future mars explorations.
A sample from an asteroid

- Asteroid Bennu has been a center of curiosity for NASA, why? NASA says that the asteroid’s surface which is so old and well preserved can unlock some mysteries of the origin of life.
- Nasa has launched the OSIRIS-REx probe in 2016. The probe will touch the asteroid’s surface in July 2020 and return to Earth with at least 60 grams of dirt and rocks and may collect up to 2 kg.
SpaceX and reusable rockets

- SpaceX’s ambitious plan to make the space rockets reusable has been making the headlines for quite some time now.
- The Falcon 9 has already made Elon Musk a man with a much greater vision in space exploration.
- This will cut huge cost in future space missions and will be the first step towards the commercialization of space travel.
Virgin Galactic and commercial space travel

- Virgin Galactic, another private organization, has a $250,000 plan for a 2.5-hour trip around the Earth’s orbit.
- This means in the next decade or two space would be a favorite holiday destination, not to mention an EXPENSIVE one too.
Trip to the red planet

- NASA is speculating 2033 to be the year the first-ever manned mission will enter mars’ orbit.
- Using the experience of bases on Moon, NASA may very well build a sustainable human presence on Mars in the next 50 years itself.
Talking about our very own ISRO

- ISRO has high hopes for its future with some major plans up its sleeve. 2021 deadline is already set for Gaganyaan, India’s maiden human space mission.
- ISRO’s chairman has also made it clear that India will enter the elite club of countries with own space stations.
- Other than these, reusable launch vehicles, and the collaboration with NASA to develop the NISAR satellite which will observe and measure earth’s most complex processes.
