Lalu is allegedly being ill-treated | Son Tejashwi blames PM Modi
5-time Lok Sabha veteran Lalu Prasad Yadav is not a candidate this time, he’s an election issue.
“Laluji is being treated inhumanely, and all of this is being done at Modi’s behest,” – Tejaswi Yadav, RJD President and Former Deputy Chief Minister, Bihar
- Lalu Prasad Yadav is being treated inhumanely in the hospital on PM Modi’s orders, Tejashwi Yadav alleged.
- Congress president Rahul Gandhi joined RJD leader Yadav at the rally held in Samastipur in Bihar.
- Yadav further claimed that the BJP government had betrayed the residents of Bihar with hollow promises since 2014.
Lalu is currently hospitalized in Ranchi. He is serving sentences in the Fodder Scam. Supreme Court dismissed his bail plea, quashing hopes on being a part of the Lok Sabha Elections.
At the election rally in Samastipur, Tejashwi explained former Cabinet Minister and ex-Bihar CM Lalu Prasad Yadav’s situation to the crowd:
“When I was not allowed to meet my father, I could not control my frustration, they were not even allowing the doctors to carry out necessary tests and all of it was the administration’s doing, the doctors have told me this.”
Then he put forward his narrative of the Modi Government’s Nitish Kumar-led Bihar brigade:
“They have played with Bihar in these five years, they have given nothing to us. Back in 2014 the Modi supporters used to chant ‘Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi’, I countered them with ‘Barbar Modi, Gadbad Modi’ even back then,”
And then Tejashwi Yadav exclaimed:
“If you want to save the Constitution, if you want to preserve reservations, if you want Bihar to prosper, vote for the Mahagathbandhan candidates.”
Polling in Bihar is set across all 7 phases ending with the final phase on 19th May.
