NHS has released a list of most painful health conditions, in no particular order. These begin at cluster headaches and go up to Heart Attacks.
Each health condition in the list is unnervingly painful and it can prevent the suffering patients from doing anything at all. In many cases, death is the final answer.
Severely painful health conditions:
Cluster Headaches:
Cluster Headaches are excruciatingly painful attacks which usually affect the area around the eyes. They are considered one of the most severe health condition and headaches. These appear without any sign or signal and patients usually describe it as a burning sensation. According to a UK based cluster headaches charity, hardly anyone knows about this. Most people afflicted by this suffer in isolation from the devastating pain.
Shingles aka Herpes Zoster:
Herpes Zoster aka Shingles is an infection that can cause rashes on various parts of your body. While these are usually limited to the chest and tummy, it may also affect eyes, face and genitals. The rash develops into painful blisters and the attack of the infection can last anywhere between two and four weeks.
In 20% of cases, the patients go on to develop nerve pain in the affected part of the skin.

The infection can spread from one person to the other if someone who has not been infected with chickenpox or has not received vaccination for the same.
Frozen Shoulder:
This generally means that your shoulder becomes stiff and develops extreme pain due to it. This can last for any lengths of time, ranging from months to years.
The health condition is excruciatingly painful and can lead to an inability in doing any single movement actions. Even raising your arms can be a difficult task for patients suffering from Frozen disease.
The cause for this excruciating condition is yet to be uncovered. Statistically speaking, people suffering from diabetes are more likely to face this challenge.
Heart Attacks:
This health condition is not only excruciatingly painful but also life-threatening as well. The cause of this event is the lack of oxygen-rich blood that courses through the heart.
When this happens, the muscle is unable to function. While this health condition isn’t always chronically painful, it is definitely one of the most painful health conditions out there.
The real reason behind a heart attack is the extended use of cigarettes and leading an unhealthy lifestyle.
Signs of a heart attack include pain in arms, neck, jaw, back and even the stomach. Not to mention, tightness of the chest and the burning sensation that comes with it.
Broken Bones:
Meet captain obvious here. Breaking a bone is perhaps the most excruciating pain one can experience. Bones can fix themselves up on their own but they need to be realigned before the process begins. The older you are and the larger the bone that is broken, the more painful the process of fixing up will turn up to be.

Complex Regional Pain Syndrome or CRPS:
CRPS is usually caused and triggered by injuries. This health condition literally means a severe form of pain. While CRPS is usually confined to the region go injury or a limb at times, it can sometimes end up spreading to other parts of the body. A rise in skin sensitivity is a symptom of this condition; a slight touch can provoke a multitude of painful spurts. Even changes in the temperature can cause severe pain, swelling and stiffness.
