A recent photograph by NASA shows the Sun in a terrifying new light, eerily captured looking remarkably like a carved Halloween pumpkin.
The Sun is a fatal part of our solar system. It doesn’t need anything more to appear terrifying. However, in a recent photograph captured by NASA, it appears as the Sun looks like a carved Halloween pumpkin. It resembles Jack-O-lantern.
NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory has cameras and telescopes observing the sun at all times. It recently captured the Sun in an incredibly grim and terrifying look, which can send chilies all the way through.
The secret behind the image is nothing very special. The areas of the Sun which appear more brighter is because those are the areas which emit more light and energy. It’s the same as with any other heat map.
Not to forget the Sun is a giant ball of nuclear energy.
“They are markers of an intense and complex set of magnetic fields hovering in the sun’s atmosphere”, said NASA.
They further added that “this image blends together two sets of extreme ultraviolet wavelengths at 171 and 193 Ångströms, typically colourised in gold and yellow, to create a particularly Halloween-like appearance”.
