Netflix ordered renewal of fourth and supposedly final season of controversial drama, 13 Reasons Why, in August 2019 soon after Season 3 had hit the platform. No official announcement has been made regarding the release date. But we can make a safe bet that fans will get to watch it by the year end and we have reasons why.

Educated guess lead us to believe that Dec 2020 will air Season 4
Since the show began, one season was released every year and there is an interesting pattern to it which was ignored by the media. Season 1 was released in March 2017. Season 2 came in May 2018 and season 3 was released in August 2019. Since the show hits every year so by the end of 2020, season 4 will see the light of the day.
If we go by the mathematical series, difference between March and May is 2 months and May and August is 3 months. So the next season can hit 4 month after August that lead us to believe that fans have to wait till December 2020.
There has been no official announcement on the release date and these are just the speculations. We hope that makers of the show are also following a mathematical series pattern to release the show.

About the show
The show is loosely based on a novel written by Jay Asher of the same name. It revolves around a high school student Clay Jenson whose friend, Hannah Baker has committed suicide. Controversy surrounding the series
Netflix controversial drama earned massive fan following for depicting real life college problems of bullying and Suicide. It also underwent massive bashing by mental health professionals.

Graphic depiction of suicide in season 1 prompted some people to suicide and depression. The makers of the show edited the scenes of suicide in finale episode of season 1. They issued warning card and a warning for the viewers.
Story so far and upcoming plot
What started with 13 reasons of a young woman committing suicide, the plot thickens in season 3. The seasons dealt with rapes, homophobia, gun violence, drugs and dark secret of new age colleges. Now it is now longer about Hannah’s suicide. Season 3 revolved around solving the murder mystery of Byrce. We can see the cast graduate in season 4.
There might me an entirely new mystery for Clay to solve. With a new girl, Ani in his team, it would be interesting to watch the duo playing detectives and solving mysteries. Fans might have to wait till the year end to see the season 4 of 13 reasons why. We can only make bets till then.
