China Lied, Americans Died. Trump points whose at fault in a continuous blame game called Coronavirus task force daily briefings.
The US is hit the worst by the coronavirus pandemic. The death toll steadily rises as does the dearth of ventilators and hospital beds. Testing still isn’t at par and there are also 22 million unemployment claims. But Donald Trump won’t take any responsibility. So, the world is beginning to count its costs.
So China lied and Americans died but whose fault is it anyway, Trump’s? NO.
No, no it’s the Chinese virus…
Oh, wait, its Obama administration…
The World Health Organization?
Maybe the State Governors…
Finally, Fake News.
It could be anyone but Donald Trump, as per the President.
Highlights! Donald Trump’s erratic daily briefings and the needless blame game is going to cost the world at large.
- Unemployment is Democrats’ Fault
- Lack of Medical Supplies is Obama’s Fault
- Pandemic is WHO’s Fault
- The Fault of the ‘Chinese Virus’
- And its fake news misguiding all of us
In the third quarter of his presidency, President Trump is facing a pandemic unprecedented and territories unchartered with approaching elections in November. But so do other world leaders.
Unemployment is Democrats’ Fault
On Friday, Trump accused the Democrats of taking an ‘endless vacation’ when they should be doing their jobs in times of a pandemic. Trump wrote on Twitter, “Today people started losing their jobs because of Crazy Nancy Pelosi, Cryin’ Chuck Schumer, and the Radical Left, Do Nothing Democrats, who should immediately come back to Washington and approve legislation to help families in America. End your ENDLESS VACATION!”
Trump’s tweet comes after the Small Business Administration exhausted $350 billion in loans designed to prevent layoffs. The assistance was a part of the $2 trillion coronavirus stimulus package. Senate Democrats, last week, blocked the $250 billion supplement on the small-business loan.
He attacked Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for being on a paid vacation instead of passing an expansion of small business loans.
Lack of Medical Supplies is Obama’s Fault
In March, when Trump drew criticism from health experts around the world over coronavirus testing protocols, he denied any responsibility for it. “No, I don’t take responsibility at all,” he said, citing they were given a set of ‘rules, regulation and specifications.’ He criticized Obama’s administration H1N1 response and blamed the lack of medical supplies stating his administration found ’empty shelves.’
About the lagging Coronavirus tests, Trump said, “The Obama administration made a decision on testing that turned out to be very detrimental to what we’re doing, and we undid that decision a few days ago so that the testing can take place in a much more accurate and rapid fashion.”
China Getting Out of Hand is WHO’s Fault
So, Trump suspended WHO’s funding amid the accusations of WHO colluding with China to downplay the seriousness of over Coronavirus outbreak. He also said, “Reliance on China’s disclosures likely caused a 20-fold increase in cases worldwide.”
Trump administration claims that the WHO parroted the denial of COVID-19 threat in China. Furthermore, he accuses the WHO of being careless in praising Beijing’s handling of the crisis.
Trump’s blame game with China has now also choked the world’s hope in the battle against coronavirus. US is the biggest funder of WHO’s operational costs. In fact, experts believe a lack of international cooperation in the battle against the coronavirus pandemic can mean repeating the mistake of the Great Depression.
On Friday, he reiterated his stance and also wrote on Twitter, “China has just announced a doubling in the number of their deaths from the Invisible Enemy. It is far higher than that and far higher than the U.S., not even close!”
So, by China’s ‘far higher’ death toll, Trump is referring to Wuhan’s abrupt death toll increase by 50 percent after an official revision, ‘doubling’ as POTUS claimed.
The Fault of the ‘Chinese Virus’
Trump’s steady accusations against China come as the tension escalates between Washington and Beijing about the economic chaos that has followed the pandemic outbreak.
But back in late January, he himself was thanking President Xi and China for their ‘transparent’ work in containing the Coronavirus outbreak. However, come March, the virus became the ‘Chinese Virus’. Moreover, on being called out on how racist it sounds, Trump explained, he says it based on the location it originated.
End of March, he changed his stance on the virus again. Acknowledging he made a big deal out of it he said, “Look, everyone knows it came out of China, but I decided we shouldn’t make any more of a big deal out of it. I think people understand it.” He further explained, “But that all began when they said our soldiers started it. Our soldiers had nothing to do with it.”
Mercury keeps rising in the thermometer that gauges the volatile relationship between Washington and Beijing. But Trump keeps playing a relentless blame game with his daily briefings!
Furthermore, knowing Donald Trump’s polarised patterns on Coronavirus, he might or might not play the blame game with China tomorrow. But what’s certain is that America might see a major economic crisis in the coming weeks.
Nevertheless, people in poor countries might die quicker in absence of WHO support. The world is struggling in the fight against Coronavirus due to the lack of medical resources. And while China has been exporting medical equipment the world over, Donald Trump is busy explaining how everything related to the pandemic is someone else’s fault!
