The United States of America is expected to see a shocking rise in the death toll in the upcoming week due to COVID-19. The President Doanld Trump refuses to follow the guidelines limiting his presidency and failing his supporters.
What is going to befall on the US in the coming weeks is going to be huge and definitely not in a good way. America is bracing to experience the worst in the time to come in its fight against Coronavirus. The death toll is climbing, while the news of the impending increase in the spread continues to ricochet.
Highlights:
- 1. The US is expected to witness the maximum number of deaths in the coming week.
- 2. President Trump refused to voluntarily wear a cloth mask as a part of the guidelines.
- 3. FEMA is failing at arranging for healthcare equipment.
Meet The Press was in the talks with the U.S. Surgeon General Jerome Adams, he warned —
The next week is going to be our Pearl Harbor moment. It’s going to be our 9/11 moment. It’s going to be the hardest moment for many Americans in their entire lives, and we really need to understand that if we want to flatten that curve and get through to the other side, everyone needs to do their part.

The lockdown is getting stricter by the seconds
In a bid to stop the virus from spreading, The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have rolled out a guideline asking people to wear cloth masks when outdoors.
Deborah Birx, head of the White House coronavirus task force added to it during the recent briefing in the White House —
This is the moment to not be going to the grocery store, not going to the pharmacy, but doing everything you can to keep your family and your friends safe.
Disappointed but not surprised, eh?
Not so surprisingly, the President of the United States Donald Trump refused to wear the mask saying that it was voluntary and that he had chosen not to follow that advice. While this leaves people disappointed but not surprised, he has continued to tout untested coronavirus cures during his briefs in the White House too. Thus, in a way misleading his supporters and putting them in harm’s way.
Where is the money going?
Of what has come under the limelight, it is extremely depressing to know that while the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been setting aside $41mn every year, since 2017, to offset the extra cost of protecting Trump’s properties under the instructions of Congress, it has been able to provide only 10% of the N95 masks requested by the officials in the district of Columbia along with five other states.
FEMA is “evaluating changes in the application processes and grant requirements” as a result of the government’s Covid-19 response efforts, the FEMA spokesperson informed.
Isn’t it too late though?
As the formerly vibrant economy falters, 10 million people are expected to lose their jobs, while more than 100,000 people are expected to succumb to the coronavirus.
Trump doesn’t seem to tire of playing the blame game. His leadership and political survival skills have become questionable, while the entire nation braces itself for the darkness that is going to engulf it in the upcoming week.
