Netflix struck gold with the unlikely addition of America’s biggest showman Donald Trump to what will now be America’s most-anticipated TV Show ever – Tiger King Season 2: Pardon of Joe Exotic.
If one business that has low to no effect of Coronavirus its Netflix. Since the pandemic induced quarantine has engulfed the globe the streaming platform has only seen a rise in its subscription and viewership. And now it has struck another lockdown-generated jackpot for the much-talked docu-series Tiger King Season 2.
Netflix recently released its new crime documentary miniseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, and Madness. The series chronicles Joe Exotic, the flamboyant owner of the Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park. Exotic was convicted for a number of crimes earlier this year with 22 years in prison. He was accused of hiring a hitman to murder animal activist Carole Baskin, the CEO of animal sanctuary Big Cat Rescue.
Donald Trump Will ‘Take a Look’ in Tiger King Season 2
In a recent Coronavirus briefing of US President Donald Trump, he was enquired by New York Post’s Steven Nelson about the series. The reporter told Trump that Tiger King is “one of the biggest rating hits of the coronavirus apart from his briefings.”
He asked, “Your son yesterday jokingly said that he was going to advocate for it, and I was wondering if you’ve seen the show and if you have any thoughts on pardoning Joe Exotic?”
To which Trump responded, “Which Son? It must be Don.” When the reporter confirmed that indeed it was Donald Trump Jr who feels that Exotic should be pardoned. Trump had to ask, who was Joe Exotic and what had he done?
“He allegedly hired someone to murder an animal rights activist but he said he didn’t do that,” the reporter told him.
Trump counter questioned the reporter whether he feels Tiger did it or is he recommending a pardon? To which the reporter declined to weigh in.
“I’ll take a look,” Trump finally said.
Tiger King and I: Bonus Episode
And when you thought it can’t get any wilder! On Thursday, Netflix announced a bonus aftershow episode. The bonus feature will be hosted by Joel McHale who took over the Oklahoma zoo from Exotic.
McHale will be speaking to different subjects of the shows taking a followup of what’s been happening in their lives. Among the various subjects that we’ve seen in the show, the followup will feature Joe Exotic’s ex-husband John Finlay, reality show producer Rick Kirkman, Saff, Lowe and his wife Lauren. Notably, it won’t feature Joe Exotic or Carole Baskin.
But after Trump’s involvement, we can expect him to make a cameo for sure. After all who knows reality TV better than Donald Trump!
Donald Trump, Jr. considers lobbying for Joe Exotic’s Pardon
President’s son Businessman Donald Trump Jr while speaking to SiriusXM’s The Jim and Sam Show had joked about the series and Joe Exotic’s pardon. He felt 22-year jail term was too aggressive for a slew of convictions including murder for hire.

The 42-year old joked that he would consider lobbying for his freedom in the near future. He mentioned he might just do it for meme’s or gauging media’s reaction. Further saying, “It doesn’t seem like he was totally innocent of anything. But when they’re saying, “We’re putting this guy away for 30 years,” I’m saying that seems sort of aggressive.’
In March 2020, Joe Exotic had asked US President Donald Trump for a Pardon. Apart from the hitman hiring for murder Exotic is convicted with convicted on eight violations of the 1900 Lacey Act – a law that prohibits trade in illegally obtained or transported wildlife, fish, and plants – and nine violations of the 1973 Endangered Species Act.
