What we think was the end was probably just a beginning in the multiversal madness, signals Doctor Strange 2’s mid-credit scene.
The movie was a huge collection of events happening across several universes. While we thought it was all over with The Scarlet Witch realizing her fault and destroying the Darkhold, we were wrong. The mid-credit and the post-credit scenes of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness show it is merely just a start and the chaos is yet to come.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was madness
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was a time-lapse of a huge number of events happening across the multiverse. If you look aside for a minute and are not on your A-game with the references from across the MCU, everything will just blow past you and you won’t even know.
The Sam Raimi directed movie was slightly on the horror side, but that was not it, it was a great blend of horror, adventure, action, and love. So, the movie had everything from the beginning to the end and most importantly it had those cameos that the fans were dying to see for a long time.
MCU continuing its fan service brought Mr Fantastic from Fantastic Four and Charles Xavier from the X-Men officially bringing those two franchises into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Even though they were brutally killed by The Witch, that doesn’t mean they do not exist in some other universe.
The mid-credit and the post-credit scene
Now, when the movie was so packed, it is obvious that the mid-credit and the post-credit scene will be a step ahead, after all, it’s Marvel. The audience stayed intact in their seats till the time the mid-credit scene came and then waited for a longer duration to see the post-credit too.
Just before the mid-credit scene kicked in, Doctor Strange was seen in great pain and then the third eye opened as it was there with the damned Stephen Strange. It was enough to tell fans that there is much more to come after the Strange they know has been damned with evil spirits for summoning a dead and using the Darkhold.
The mid-credit scene extended the third-eye scene into the multiversal aspect. The scene had the first-ever appearance of Clea, played by Charlize Theron. She came up on the screen and told Doctor Strange that he will have to come with her as his actions have caused an incursion.
Doctor Strange 3 is confirmed
Then she opens a portal into the dark dimension and Strange walks in with her. This will probably lead to Doctor Strange 3 and the overall movie can be predicted to be even more mystical and have more sorcerer stuff.
Talking about Clea, she is an extremely powerful sorcerer from the dark dimension and is the niece of the main antagonist of the first Doctor Strange movie, Dormammu. According to comics, she was saved by Doctor Strange from Dormammu’s captivity and as a result, falls in love with him and eventually gets married to him.
Bruce Campbell will appear again
The post-credit scene was not much of a hint for the franchise’s future or at least doesn’t seem so for now. In this scene the Pizza Poppa, Strange left punching himself on Earth-838 comes back on the screen and here he has stopped punching himself after three weeks.
The Pizza Poppa guy was Evil Dead’s, Bruce Campbell. It was his sixth appearance in a Sam Raimi film. He has played several cool roles in the Spider-Man movies. That being said, there are chances that Campbell may appear more and maybe in a bigger role too, after all, he is in the multiverse.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently in theatres.
