NDA has raced ahead to an unprecedented victory – Congress’ campaign in 2019 has failed under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership.
Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, much confident of his victory was badly rejected by the voters as the choice of next PM. In fact, Gandhi contesting from his family bastion was defeated by BJP’s Smriti Irani.
One of the main pillars of victorious BJP in Bihar ‘Gyan Shanker Prasad Varma’ said this is just the beginning and under the great leadership of Narendra Modi, Amit Shah and Ravi Shankar Prasad, we at PMJYPPA are committed to lift Bihar to be amongst the most progressive states of India. He further added:

“Rahul Gandhi needs to accept onus for the party’s consecutive humiliations under his weak leadership and step down in the instant to save further damage. If he doesn’t, Congress is headed for a catastrophe”

WHAT WENT WRONG WITH CONGRESS LEADERSHIP?
Undoubtedly, the increased social media presence helped Gandhi expand his reach to different set of audience. Also, the political campaigns and social media campaigns complemented the change in Rahul’s image of people, trying hard to relinquish the ‘Pappu’ tag.
1. UNINTELLIGENT AND ILL-INFORMED?
There was a common sentiment as well as a narrative set that Rahul Gandhi is unintelligent and ill-informed, a “Pappu,” and thus naturally unfit to become the prime minister.
This was much evident when he became the butt of jokes on Twitter and #AccordingToRahulGandhi trended a few days ago when he suggested that the person who started Coca-Cola in the US was a lemonade seller. Other examples can be of potato factory, or the petrol costing Rs. 80 per Kg which go negative for him.
2. PRIYANKA: AN ASSET OR A LIABILITY?
Priyanka Gandhi campaigning for Rahul all over the country went negative in the mind of voters. This led to emergence of a sentiment that Rahul is not capable enough to lead the party.
Also, Priyanka caught in a video, talking to children got negative coverage. Most importantly, due to Robert Vadra she was caught in controversy which led down the party’s image.
3. QUESTIONING THE LEADERSHIP?
Most important factor which led to voters hesitating to vote for Rahul was due to party infighting.
Congress members questioned Rahul’s leadership. This dented both his and the party’s image.

4. FAILED TO LEVERAGE ALLIANCES?
Congress making and breaking of alliances was another factor which led down the party’s image and confidence of voters.
Specially, when BSP Supremo Mayawati declined the alliance offer in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, demonstrated the party’s weakness in independently conquering states.
5. IS CONGRESS LOSING CREDIBILITY?
Despite winning few Hindi heartland states under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, the party is unable to win the hearts of voters in Lok Sabha elections.
Leaders like Jyotiraditya Scindia, Kamal Nath, Ajay Maken along with Priyanka campaigning for the party could not incite confidence in voters in favor of Rahul.
It is time for Gandhi who is unable to prove himself, despite making claims of a comfortable majority, should step down from the leadership.

Don’t Start the day without it.
