HBO’s series Game of Thrones has been the most anticipated yet catastrophic show ever. The series finale was a major disappointment with a great cast entertaining us for a decade. However, the cast of GoT has found a new home in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And the rumours are the Marvel Studio is planning a major reunion for Game of Thrones characters in the MCU
It’s not a new thing for famous characters to switch franchises given all of them are expansive in nature.Over the years we have seen many characters from the HBO show crossing over to the MCU. Now with Marvel’s Fox possessions like Deadpool, X-Men and Fantastic Four their talent pool is wider than ever.

Further, actor Ed Skrein who appeared as the antagonist of Deadpool (2016) was briefly cast as Daario Naharis, Khalisi’s love interest.
From Historical Fantasy to MCU Cosmic
When the fantasy drama culminated in 2019, many from the core cast of the show have been transported to MCU as to-be superheroes. While fan favourite Peter Dinklage aka Tyrion Lannister made his MCU debut in 2018 with Avengers: Infinity War as Eitri, the youngest from the House of Stark Maisie Williams aka Arya Stark is still waiting to debut as Wolfsbane in Marvel’s maiden horror movie The New Mutants.
Marvel’s takeover of Fox’s assets has hampered the release of the New Mutants several times now. Originally shot in 2017, the movie is now set to release in August 2020.

In the comics, the Eternals are a race of beings genetically similar to humans but with heightened abilities and longer lives. They have been tasked with protecting the earth from their counterparts, the Deviants.

A Possible Stark Reunion
As per WGTC sources, Marvel Studios might be looking at possible Game Of Thrones reunion in the MCU. Their report says,
We’ve been told by our sources – the same ones that said The Falcon and the Winter Soldier would be delayed and a She-Hulk show is coming to Disney Plus, both of which were correct – that Marvel are reportedly considering a mini-Game of Thrones reunion in a future project.
As per the report, one idea that the studio is toying with is to have Richard Madden’s Ikaris and Kit Harrington’s Whitman interact with Eitri played by Dinklage. Presumably they need him to forge some new weapon on Nidavellir which maybe more devastating than ‘Thanos killing kind.
While one can wonder how earthbound Maisie Williams’ mutant Wolfsbane could come into play. The studio is reportedly impressed by her performance in Fox’s The New Mutants and wants to absorb her into the X-Men reboot of the MCU. One way Marvel Studio can approach her character is to keep the character intact but ignore the events of The New Mutants. There are no doubts that her fans would love to see Williams shapeshifting into a wolf.
While these could still be rumors, but the prospect of a Game of Thrones reunion in MCU is surely an exciting idea!
