Andrew Garfield continues his lying streak at the Oscars. Either he enjoys lying or just gives his best to save the movies for his fans.
Even after several denials, Andrew Garfield continues to be asked about any updates on Amazing Spider-Man 3. No matter what he says or how much he denies, fans are not going to believe him after his repetitive lying about not appearing in Spider-Man: No Way Home.
MCU now has three Generations of Spider-Man
Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home brought Andrew Garfield’s and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man to his rescue. The three generations of Spider-Man fought together against the five signature Spidey villains making it a “once in a lifetime moment” for the fans.
The movie not only brought three generations of Spider-Man back but also brought the hope of The Amazing Spider-Man 3 finally happening. Andrew Garfield donned his Spider-Man suit in No Way Home after The Amazing Spider-Man and its sequel.
Now, when Garfield has come out from that dimensional gateway, there are chances The Amazing Spider-Man 3 will also happen in one such dimension. Although, whenever he has been asked about it, he has denied it the same way he denied his presence in No Way Home.
The “denial” streak continues
Recently, when he was asked at the Oscars if he has any update on the threequel of The Amazing Spider-Man, he just only denied it but also humorously said that no matter what he says, nobody is going to believe him.
“No update from me. No one’s going to believe anything I say ever again. That’s my problem.”
The actor said so, as it hasn’t been long since he was continuously denying his MCU appearance. Amidst all the leaks and speculations, whenever he was asked if fans are going to get a piece of his Spider-Man, he always denied and saved the secret.
Andrew Garfield enjoys lying
The extent of Andrew saving the secret can be estimated by the fact that he lied to his close friend and co-star, Emma Stone. In an interview with the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast he stated how Emma kept texting her and he kept on subtly denying his presence in No Way Home.
“Emma kept texting me, like, ‘Are you in this new Spider-Man film?’ and I was like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about,'”
This is not it, Garfield even admitted that he enjoyed lying about his presence in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The entire flow of events makes the fans wonder even more if the actor is speaking the truth for once in his life.
TASM 3 might not be happening
Garfield went to a great extent to prove his absence in No Way Home, that he said the fans will be disappointed when they don’t find him in the movie. The lie to such an extent is sheer proof of two things.
First, Andrew Garfield can clearly not be trusted when it comes to his movies and his appearance as Spider-Man. Second, he is so adamant about making the films an outstanding experience for his fans, that he would literally go to any extent to save it from being spoiled.
So, we don’t know if this time is one of those “Andrew Garfield’s lies” or is it just the truth that The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is not happening anytime soon, at least not with him.
