Amazon Rainforests Bolsonaro Lie? Amazon’s Rainforests called the Earth’s lungs is burning in an invincible fire for over 21 days now, and President Bolsonaro is refusing to take aid from the world to save the massive forest cover from annihilation.
Amazon Rainforests Bolsonaro lie! The Full Story:
The Amazon rainforests aka the “Earth’s Lungs” are now under the coverture of an insurmountable forest fire for three weeks. Such a decimation is probably an irreversible situation for the humankind to tackle and therefore (Amazon Rainforests Bolsonaro lie) is doing rounds or speculations are , could be Bolsonaro is behind the fire?
The effects of Amazon Fire will have catastrophic implications from the perspective of climate change impact. But the government led by President Jair Bolsonaro has downplayed the impact of the Amazon Fire.
Plumes of smoke raging across the tropical rainforest reaching over 2000 miles away to Brazilian cities.
A few days earlier, in Sao Paulo, the largest city and also the coastal city of Brazil experienced dark skies in daylight. 2000 miles away, it was shrouded plumes of smoke.
Destruction as per preliminary data
As per the preliminary deforestation data; the Brazilian part of Amazon forest has experienced a surge of 67% through July compared to the last year data for the same period. Similarly, 84% of surged experienced in forest fires this year.
Brazilian part of Amazon rainforest experienced a surge of 67% through July compared to the last year’s data for the same period.
National Institute for Space Research (INPE) of Brazil since 15 August spotted more than 9,500 new forest fires and the smoke from amazon region is drifting across Latin America to the Atlantic coast. Likewise, INPE recorded 74,000 fires in Brazil between January to August this year.
Amazon Rainforests Bolsonaro lie! Annual trajectory fuelled by man-made issues
In 2016, there were a significant number of fires in the Amazon forest, but it was primarily due to the drought conditions prevailed that year. However, in 2019 we cannot blame the drought condition because people have lit the fires especially for transforming forest land into agricultural land and later farmers employed slash and burn agriculture to clear the lands for next crops.
As per some scientists, this year could be the first for 10 years when Amazon forest lost 10,000 sq. km.
As per NASA report,
“total fire activity across the Amazon basin has been close to the average in comparison to the past 15 years.” NASA noted that these fires are so intense and massive that they could spot it from the space. According to the 23rd August Weather Source, 6902 fires recorded in Angola and 3,395 in Democratic Republic of Congo and 2127 in Brazil.
When Amazon burns, we burn with it
Since the last five decades, Amazon lost around 20% of the forest due to both human-made and natural. Scientist warn that if tree loss continues and Amazon passes the ‘tipping point’ which is around 25%-40% of deforestation, then this could start and accelerate the natural phenomenon of deforestation.
Demise of the rainforest
The effects of Amazon fire will lead to the demise of the rainforest cover within few decades. President Bolsonaro has said the country will internally tackle the Amazon fire.
According to the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (European Union), 228 megatonnes of carbon has been released through the forest fire (highest since 2010).
According to World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), Amazon forest is the house of 10% known wildlife species, with a discovery of new species of plants and animals in every three days on average. It is still not possible for us to speculate the number of animals, insects and other species that we lost in this fire especially for those species which are still undeciphered.
Enhanced Emissions for decades
Professor Yadvinder Malhi (University of Oxford), an ecosystem scientist said that the amazon forest would take around 20-40 years to regenerate. But the perilous fire still destroying the forest will leave surviving trees more vulnerable to repeated fires and drought. But the Brazil government led by Bolsonaro has ignored the impact of Amazon fire.
Further, he said if fires hit the Amazon every few years, the forest will turn into a shrubby state. Amazon produces 20% of the world’s oxygen. But academics say it is around 6% to 10%.
Malhi also mentioned that the immediate effect of the fires would be on the climate of South America. This will lead to intensive dry summers and reducing rainfall.
But Brazil categorically rejected G7’s $22 million aid
G7 countries offered an aid of $22 million to Brazil to fight against the Amazon fire. However, Brazilian government-led by Bolsonaro categorically rejected and one of the top official telling French President to take care of “his home and his colonies.”
Mr. Onyx Lorenzoni said, “we appreciate (the offer), but may be those resources are more relevant to reforest Europe.” Further he said, “Brazil is a democratic, free nation that never had colonialist and imperialist practices, as perhaps is the objective of the Frenchman Macron.”
Brazilian President Bolsonaro rejected a USD 22 million aid and blasted French President Macron for having “colonialist mentality.”
Amazon Rainforests Bolsonaro lie! Consequences of the Amazon Rainforest Fires
As per some scientists, this year could be the first for 10 years when Amazon’s rainforests lose 10,000 sq. km. A forest is a carbon sink where CO2 is stored. Consequently, this will cause two-sided trouble for the planet from the effects of Amazon Fire-
- The natural carbon sink of 10,000 sq. km.
- Different kinds carbon that were already stored including carbon monoxide is now been released. Also, tropical rainforest stores more carbon per unit than other type of forest.
As per some scientists, this year could be the first of 10 years when Amazon rainforests lose 10,000 sq. km.

Brazil is now facing scrutiny, fake news and others due to the French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron who published a photo from 2013 (not from the actual incident) and now Brazil’s reputation is damaged all over the world.
France has never contributed to Brazil’s efforts to protect the Amazon rainforest. Moreover, France is a protectionist country that does not have any interest in the EU-Mercosul free-trade agreement. They have got a colony in South America named French Guiana and are not famous for protecting “the forest” itself, but other things such as:
Unfortunately, we have the military weaponry from neither Russia nor the USA and we are subjected to international due to this.
Notably, bushfire takes place every year in the dry season and all over the world. It is neither good nor bad. It is just nature following its course.
Finally, the Brazilian government sent the military to fight the fire and did a good job as the French prime minister has attempted to gain “political status” and stupidity rained all over the world. The people who suffered? The Brazilians.
It is recommended that Brazilian people read this book to recover from suffering

He sent Army troops to assist locals (about 40,000) and capture criminals that are illegaly around there, and many of them put fire with criminal purposes. This year the affected area is less than 50% if compared with the past years.
Keep in mind that the Bazilian Amazon belongs to Brazil and not to the world and is an internal affair solved properly.
