AAP led government in Delhi turned out to be the archetype for every common man. Against the odds and through their exemplary work, AAP has transformed millions of lifes.



1. AAP Electricity Reform Schemes
The Free-electricity scheme announced by Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal is an example of “smart governance” as it will encourage the people of Delhi to curb their power needs and will also promote sustainable use of electricity. Under this scheme, Delhi has been provided free electricity for domestic use up to 200 units. Later this service extended and included the tenants that have been residing in Delhi and paying a hefty amount of Rs 8 to 10 per unit to their landlords.

As per the Delhi government, 14 lakh families who are consuming up to 200 units are now also receiving zero amount bills. Thus, providing people with a chance of saving the partial amount of their income for future investments.
2. AAP’s Education Schemes in Delhi
Delhi’s Education Minister Manish Sisodia’s efforts in improving the educational quality spans across the government schools. The efforts are giving a chance to each and every child to see a dream and make efforts to build it without any restains. Thus, the schemes make sense for those who have never been able to reach to afford the amount of a private school.
Moreover, Kejriwal led government has managed to build 8,000 new classrooms in existing schools and introducing Chunati scheme which was a brainchild of Nobel Prize winner Abhijit Banerjee.

Moreover, the AAP Government has done revolutionary work in education in the last three years. Government schools are also giving impingement to private schools.

Education minister Manish Sisodia says, ‘country’s future is not written in these mandirs or masjids, but it is written in classrooms.” So, AAP is committed to providing the best infrastructure in schools.
AAP government has also included a ‘happiness curriculum’ in all Delhi government schools, which is the stepping stone to the much-needed change in our education system. Delhi government is also improving and innovating the teaching quality. It has also provided a chance for teachers to go abroad, learn new techniques and improve their skills.
3. Healthcare Policies and Efforts
Moving on to the Health sector, Arvind Kejriwal and his team in 2015 launched ‘Mohalla Clinics’ in Delhi. In the last 4 years, around 224 such clinics have been constructed and are operational across different areas in Delhi.

Mohalla Clinics provides 125 free medicines and 212 free lab tests such as blood tests, urine tests, and more. Till July 2019, these clinics conducted and facilitated 1.63 OPDs with 15 lakh laboratory tests. AAP Government has also started polyclinics, which is the second step after Mohalla Clinics.
4. Doorstep delivery of government services
Approximately a year ago, on 10th September 2018, the AAP Delhi government initiated the doorstep delivery of 40 government services. For that, one has to call on 1076 and fix an appointment.

After that, the government officer will visit your home at your given time, will check your id proofs and necessary documents and upload your form on the website.
You will get your necessary certificate at home after a few days. As a result, corruption will be reduced and people’s time will be saved.
5. CCTV Installation for Citizen Safety
The installation of CCTV cameras is a part of the Arvind Kejriwal-led government’s city-wide program. Under the scheme, an average of 4,000 CCTV cameras will be set up in each assembly constituency.
While the first batch of 2,000 cameras is already in the process of installation, tenders for the second batch have been drawn up.

“Around 3 lakh cameras will be installed in all 70 assembly constituencies, government schools, and buses. The project is likely to be completed by December 2019,” Arvind Kejriwal also said.
6. Curbing Pollution in Delhi
In a recent press briefing, CM Kejriwal said that the pollution level in Delhi has gone down by 25 percent in the last three years due to the AAP government’s efforts. This is opposite to the trend in the rest of the cities in the country and the world.

Health is another aspect where the AAP government has worked with grit during their term in Delhi. So, aided by schemes like Odd-Even, ban on entry of trucks, ban on civil construction, strict compliance of Graded Response Action Plan, the party took strict action.
7. Compensation to Martyrs
If we talk about government aid, the Delhi government is very much concerned. Thus, it intends to pay Rs 1 crore as compensation to the family members of armed forces, police and other paramilitary units who died in the line of duty in the national capital.

The scheme will also cover personnel of the Delhi Fire Service. It will also encompass Home Guards, and the district disaster management force as well. Families from other states whose kin die in Delhi will also be eligible for the compensation.
8. Better Water Supply Structure
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has announced another scheme for residents of Delhi. The AAP government will now also waive water arrears of those who have functional water meters at their homes.

A total of 13 lakh people are expected to benefit from this scheme while the government will also earn Rs. 600 crore with streamlined metered water connections.
9. Free Pilgrimage Scheme
Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Teerth Yatra Yojana’, 1,100 senior citizens from each of the 70 assembly constituencies of Delhi can undertake a free pilgrimage tour.

Furthermore, a city resident above 60 years will be eligible to take a pilgrimage along with his or her spouse. The applicant can also take along an attendant above the age of 20 years if the applicant or his spouse is above 70 years.
10. First Sports University in Delhi
The Kejriwal government will open a ‘Sports University’ in the national capital.

The ‘Sports University’ will be opened on 90 acres of land in the Mundka area. The move also aims to promote sports in the city. Thus, the University will provide youngsters an opportunity to pursue sports as a full-time Higher Education Program.
