Cesar Arnoldo Gome rescued from a from the tunnel he dug to spy on ex-girlfriend
A Mexican man had to be rescued from a dig after getting trapped into a tunnel which he had dug to spy on his ex-girlfriend in violation of a court order to stay away from her.
Cesar Arnoldo Gomez, 50, after getting dumped by his girlfriend for being too possessive had rescued from a tunnel.
Gomez had been in a relationship with Griselda Santillan from last 14 years and it was clearly finding it difficult for him to overcome after the breakup.
The 50-year-old accidentally trapped in the dig. He remained there for around 24 hours and had been calling for help.
On Thursday, he was rescued from a makeshift tunnel outside his ex-girlfriend house in Oriente, Puerto Penasco, in the northern-western Mexican state of Sonora.
Griselda Santillan said “I asked a neighbour to look inside and they said there was nothing there, but then I noticed some shoes, tools and water. I shouted at him to get out, but he did not do anything”.
Red cross-staff and firefighters rescued him from the tunnel, though he refusing it. The man appeared intoxicated and severely dehydrated once they got him out of the tunnel.
