Man believes six-foot dreadlocks he hasn’t washed in forty years are a blessing
Sakal Dev Tuddu, 63, from the Munger District of Bihar, has allowed his hair to grow six feet long over the course of the past four decades and calls them a ‘blessing from God’.
During this period, he has not given it a wash once, which makes you wonder what it smells like, feels like, how many dead animals may have been living in there since the 80s.

He says that one night, some 40 years ago, his hair spontaneously wove itself into a ‘jatta’ or dreadlock which he took as a divine blessing.
Sakal Dev claims God has since visited him in his dreams and told him not to trim it- so it seems the dreads are irrefutably the work of the big man in the sky.
His neighbors in the Munger district of Bihar, India, call him Mahatma Ji as a mark of respect.
In a bid to try and keep some cleanliness, Sakal ties his hair up in a white cloth whenever he goes out, otherwise, it would trail on the floor behind him.

He is renowned as a traditional healer and prepares homemade treatment childless couples and people come from far to meet him to take pictures of him.
He lives with his wife, Rupiya Devi, along with three sons; three daughters and seven grandchildren, none of whom have any problems with his distinctive do, though his grandchildren understandably might found it quite puzzling when they were young.
Sakal Dev has worked for the forest department for 31 years.
