Donald Trump’s daughter was at the center of backlashing after she wished the Muslims “Eid Mubarak”
Ivanka Trump definitely did not see this one coming. She set out with a good-hearted tweet. But ended with major backlashing instead. The 37-year-old took to Twitter to wish the Muslims around the world a Happy Eid-ul-Adha.
Twitter torches Ivanka Trump’s wishes on Eid

She tweeted on 11 August saying, “Eid Mubarak to Muslims all around the world celebrating Eid al-Adha! Wishing you health, happiness and joy!”
But as soon as her tweet went viral, so did the backlashing along with it. In fact, so much so that she got herself a nickname over the weekend. Twitterati termed her as “Nepotism Barbie.”
Why all the criticism? Well, if you don’t know yet or have not been able to relate things from the past, it’s because of her father, Donald Trump. The Trump administration took a very extreme step and put a travel ban on visitors and immigrants from several majority-Muslim countries. This was in the year 2017. And the world has clearly not forgotten the harsh step.
Another one (blogger Jeff Tiedrich) tweeted “Psst, don’t nobody tell Nepotism Barbie here how her father tried to ban all Muslims from entering the United States.” Netizens did not spare Ivanka Trump for having it both ways.
