And WandaVision is already in post-production
The Czech Republic Government has greenlit TV and Film productions — Marvel, Disney, Netflix, Amazon series can resume filming anytime
Film and TV productions halted by the Coronavirus pandemic sees a new ray of hope. The Czech Republic government has issued a guideline that allows studio productions to start immediately.
The government has allowed productions to resume given they meet the new hygiene standards. The guideline adapts to a post-pandemic world and has made hygiene changes in the production process.
Heads Up! The Czech Republic Government allows TV and Film Productions — Marvel’s Disney Shows to Resume Production

- Netflix and Amazon also have pending shoots in Prague
The Falcon And The Winter Soldier Reshoot in Prague
Right before Coronavirus’ lockdown begin the cast and crew of Marvel’s Disney Plus series The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was shooting in the city. Approximately three weeks of shoots remained when the production abruptly halted.
During Disney’s quarterly investor call, new CEO, Bob Chapek informed, there are ‘no projections’ regarding when Marvel movies can restart production. While the Phase 4 movies are already rescheduled there is no information about the release of various Disney Plus series that Marvel is producing under MCU.
Any delay can cause another ripple in already jeopardised MCU Phase 4 schedule since the Marvel Universe is interconnected and shows like WandaVision, Loki tie directly into the big-ticket movies.
Reports have also surfaced that WandaVision has also finished its production (barring any reshoots of course!) Website MurphysMultiverse suggests whatever shoot is left of the show will be sorted out on the editing table by the studio.
And we know Marvel Studio is well known to keep making changes till the finished product comes out.
The Czech Republic’s Post-Pandemic Production Guidelines
On Thursday, the Czech government allowed studios to resume production under hygiene guidelines. The government guidelines include fortnightly testing of actors for coronavirus.
Foreign actors and crew members will have to show a COVID-19 negative test before leaving their home country. On entering the Czech Republic, actors will be quarantined until they test negative in another test within 72 hours.
Furthermore, the shoots are exempt from governments rule of the banned gathering of more than two people. The on-screen talent need not wear a face mask. However, the production studios will be responsible for maintaining hygiene and sanitation standards on location and in studios.
Now when the Czech Republic has opened the doorways for films and TV productions there’s new synergy in all over the industry. Many daily wage workers and blue collared jobs have taken the worst hit by the virus. It’s about time the productions resume.
Apart from Marvel Disney Plus production Justin Kurzel’s war thriller Ruin; Netflix feature 473 Transatlantic and Danish epic Margrete – Queen of the North; Amazon Studios’ Carnival Row, and epic fantasy series The Wheel of Time, all have pending shoots in Prague.
