Heads Up! Marvel Studio is soon to introduce Hercules in the cinematic Universe
- Marvel Studios is planning to introduce Hercules
- The fan favourite God of Strength might replace Thor
- Marvel’s Hercules is bisexual
- Marvel Studios is getting more inclusive in coming Phases
Marvel Studios is entering a new phase in November 2020. What could have been a pivotal year for Marvel got delayed due to the pandemic Coronavirus. Given the global lockdown Marvel similar to many other productions studios pushed and rescheduled its entire phase 4 and 5.
MCU Phase 4 provides ample opportunity for the Studio to introduce many new heroes. Marvel needs to fill the ranks of Avengers for future movies. Recently the reports have surfaced that Hercules, the Greek God might make his MCU entry ‘in the near future.’
Marvel’s Hercules: The God of Strength
In the Marvel comic universe, Hercules is an active part of Avengers team. The Greek God is the king of Olympus and is born with super strength. He became immortal by performing 12 labours.
He has superhuman speed, strength, agility. He has godly strength and is truly immortal. Apart from also being the God of Strength he is an expert archer and master combatant.
Hercules has been a part of many major storylines like World War Hulk, Civil War, Secret Invasion and more. He is the perfect fit to replace Thor the God of Thunder.
It is also to be noted that in comics Hercules is bisexual and is romantically involved with Wolverine. In an alternate timeline X-Treme X-Men, featured an alternate versions of iconic characters from parallel dimensions.

The comic implied a romantic relationship between the bisexual demigod Hercules and James “Logan” Howlett, the Wolverine of another universe. In 2013 Comic #10 saw the two men kissing in an embrace. The depiction was an initial inclusive step for the comics.
Marvel Studios’ Struggle To Be Inclusive
For long, Marvel Studios has been accused of a lack of diverse and inclusive representations. They have course-corrected since with movies like Black Panther and Captain Marvel. It is known Phase 5 Thor: Love and Thunder will see Valkyrie, the new King of Asgard in pursuit of her Queen.
The upcoming MCU Phase 4 and 5 slates also look more diverse with Shang-Chi, Black Panther 2, a possible A-Force team. Notably, in the Avengers Endgame director Joe Russo played a cameo of a gay man who went to his first date in Cap’s group session.
So, it will not come as a surprise if the new God is depicted in all his glory. Marvel is planning to introduce the X-Men into the MCU. In other news, a Weapon X is in works for a Disney plus series.
However, there’s is no word about whether the new Hercules would debut in a series or a feature movie. However, if rumours are anything to go by Hercules can debut with Thor Love and Thunder. But fans across the globe will be super excited to see The Greek God on the big screen.
