Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff has turned heads ever since he set foot in the industry. But the success of Baaghi 2, which was Tiger’s first Rs 100 crore-blockbuster last year, truly heralded his arrival as the bankable box office star.
They call him…
Akshay Kumar called him the Tony Jaa of Hollywood. His greatest inspiration Hrithik Roshan expressed his desire to work with ‘the best action hero’ of the industry. Anil Kapoor referred to Tiger Shroff as the new ‘king of the jungle’.
He happens to be the son of legendary actor Jackie Shroff. But watch the indomitable Tiger Shroff in his element for a few minutes, and that piece of information quickly becomes a side story.
Other than acting…
For success in any endeavour, there is enormous power in playing to your strengths. Tiger’s acting skills don’t exactly set the screen on fire, but his superbly chiseled six-pack body, killer dance moves and kickass action stunts work to his advantage. And Tiger doesn’t just play to his strengths; he keeps raising them to the next level.
Since young age, Shroff’s major hobby is dancing, and he admires the dance forms breakdancing, popping, and locking. He notes Michael Jackson as his inspiration.
Rough and Tough
To build and maintain such a lean and athletic body requires tremendous hard work, commitment and sacrifice. While Tiger is a strong advocate of strength training, his workout also incorporates gymnastics, martial arts, push-ups, high kicks and punches.
It is certainly not easy being Tiger Shroff, given his diet regimen. He gave up on junk foods at a very early age and sticks to a no-carb diet routine after 5:00 pm. The actor keeps his body fit with a high-protein and high-fiber breakfast. In-between meals, he normally takes whey shakes along with dry fruits. Lunch comprises brown rice, a chicken dish, and boiled veggies while dinner time is reserved for lots of green vegetables.
As a human..
Besides being a powerhouse of talent, Tiger Shroff is also an epitome of the kind of values that define lasting success. Moreover, he is the kind of person who lets his hard work speak for itself, rather than indulging in needless self-praise.
He comes across as a reserved, humble, down-to-earth and easily approachable person. Tiger is known to steer clear of controversy and has even been secretive of his rumoured girlfriend Disha Patani, letting the rumour mills do most of the talking.
Tiger Shroff’s movie itinerary is choc-a-bloc with potential blockbusters – Baaghi 3, which was announced even before the release of Baaghi 2; and Yash Raj’s next with Hrithik Roshan. To crown it all, Tiger is also in the lead for an ultra-ambitious project to make the desi version of the legendary Rambo series.
This Tiger continues to raise the bar higher and higher, could actually achieve what a number of Bollywood superstars have failed to do so far – become India’s first real and most befitting answer to the Arnold Schwarzeneggers, Sylvester Stallones, Jackie Chans & Tony Jaa of the world.
