In fact, all his character drags in this show, namely, Guthi’ , ‘Lallan’, ’Khairatilal’ ‘Rinku Devi’ and ‘Dr. Mashoor Gulati’, etc. became epic to say the least. But, Guthi has been like etched to the viewers mind for forever.
THE ‘SUNIL’ BEHIND GUTHI: HIS INDIVIDUALITY
Born in Sirsa, a true Haryanvi by nature; Sunil Grover has never been a shy person. Forever, as a kid, within family, friends college and school piers; he had mimicked people around him with a straight face and garnered appreciation for the same. EXTENDING HIS BOUNDARIES, ACROSS LIMITATION
What we as audiences see is this ‘Guthi’ making us laugh. What Sunil Grover pulls out in terms of performance of a simple woman is beyond words. But, his movie ventures are giving him that opportunity to try other genres as well.

‘BHARAT’: CHANGING THE MAP OF SUNIL’S CAREER
After the most talked about
Kapil Sharma- Sunil Grover fallout in the Indian television industry; Sunil Grover as well as the show took a break. The audiences somehow were not ready to accept one without the other.
But, as they say time heals everything. After a small TV stint of his own show ’Mad in India’, and Pataakha (a Vishal Bhardwaj film), Sunil Grover went on to do the role of ‘Vilayati’, Salman Khan’s childhood friend in Bharat. To be honest, in the film industry today, nothing gets more central and commercial-friendly than this.
His performance has been well appreciated and directors have begun seeing him in a new light already.
Of course, like all other Sunil Grover fans we would like to see him reprise ‘Gutthi’ back at the Kapil Sharma show whom we were never tired of seeing, day in and day out.PREETI KHANUJA – FOUNDING EDITOR | DKODING
