Kubbra Sait is an Indian actress, whose work in Sacred Games is redefining the outlook of the society as a whole, in terms of mindsets, expectations and character boundaries. She plays a pivotal role in heralding a new era of evolving cinema.
THE UNABASHED SPIRIT WHO WAS NOT MEANT TO BE
Kubbra Sait is a Muslim girl, bought up in a conservative family. Her father was a gambling addict who loaded her family under the debris of debt. But, these issues and obstacles could not stop her. She rose as a beautiful phoenix from these ashes. She went on to choose the glamour world as her destination to success. As part of her latest venture and ticket to fame, her role of ‘Cuckoo’ in Sacred Games demanded some bold scenes including one nudity scene. But, this unabashed passionate actor of today, though hailing from a Muslim background; did not let anything come in her way.

Kubbra Sait has been a recent phenomenon in the web media industry with ‘sacred games’. But her tryst with the modeling, hosting, anchoring and cine appearance categories started a long time back. In fact, she was only 13years old, when she began anchoring events. The girl seems to have talent running through her veins as well.

She graduated from the National Institute of Information & Management Sciences, Bangalore. Kubbra started her career as an accounts manager with Microsoft in Dubai. But this was not exactly what she wanted. As a result, she left this (dream-job for some) job for pursuing her career in the entertainment industry. Thus, she began the journey of this daredevil of a female to make her choices at every turn of her life.
PERSISTENTLY PERSEVERANT AND DEDICATION
Kubbra Sait loves to speak and that had become her profession when she came to Bollywood. She did not wait for her ‘the project’ to come to her. She rather chose to work as per her caliber and as per work offered to her. Thus, she entered the anchoring and modeling world. And, mind you; she has done a mind-blowing job here. Starting with hosting a part of the mere twelve people; she went on to host events with millions of audiences the world over. Anchoring for celebrities on their world tours, anchoring for serials, for Pro-Kabaddi league, have all been parts of her career graph as a whole. She has also been a winner of India’s best female Emcee Award in 2013 and Miss Personality in Miss India Worldwide Beauty Pageant in 2009.
Kubbra has had numerous outgoings as a funny presenter in various shows. She has a rare comic timing and a different way of presenting herself and life in parts with a laughable edge. She takes them as her small stones to bigger successes in life to come.

Strong lead actors are chosen for leading character plays. But, some characters evolve, grow and receive love in a manner that they become an institution in themselves. The role of the transgender ‘Cuckoo’ in Sacred Games has come out as one of those characters. The way it has been portrayed by Kubbra Sait, tells about her unabashed choices and unrealistically realist character play talents. Her performance, even led the director Anurag Kashyap to evolve the character further in the upcoming sequels of the series.
THE UPCOMING VENTURES/ THE FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT
Kubbra Sait shall be starring in ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’ opposite Konkana Sen Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar. She plays ‘Cuckoo’ again in Sacred Games 2. She shall also be starring in a legal drama series on Voot, titled ‘Law and Honor’. Travel and the food-based digital show are also on the cards for this great actor.
