Vicky Kaushal is not the quintessential fair-skinned actor looking, guy. Rather, he is good looking in a very endearing ‘guy next door’ sort of way. He seems to come from the TDH or Tall Dark (not so dark) and Handsome genre. After phenomenon successes of Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar on the same turf; Vicky Kaushal now seems to take this prodigy ahead.
RISE OF THE PERFECT PRODIGY
Coming from a Bollywood, but not a very effluent family, Vicky Kaushal initially thought about studying and not acting. He is the son of action director Shyam Kaushal. Though a certified electronics engineer, he got attracted to acting, like a bee to honey. After training from Kishore Namit Kapoor’s academy; he went on to assist Anurag Kashyap in Gangs of Wasseypur series.

After starring in a small role in ‘Laal Pencil’, he did a few other small roles. Vicky’s acting breakthrough in a leading role came with ‘Masaan’. The movie received a standing ovation and two awards in the 2015 Cannes Film festival. Vicky Kaushal had found a strong footing.
EXPANDING THE REIGN
It would not be wrong to call 2018 the era of rising and rise of Vicky Kaushal. After a stellar performance in ‘Love per square foot’, came ‘Raazi’. He held his ground well opposite Alia Bhatt, another tremendous actor. He came out as a revelation for the audience as well as the film fraternity.

His realistic and stupendous performances in ‘Sanju’, ‘Manmarziyaan’, and ‘Lust Stories’ (another web series) clearly defined him as a top-quality actor. Then came ‘Uri’. In the leading role, Vicky again struck the correct chords with the audience. The movie went out to cross the 200crore mark in revenues.
THE UNCANNY FAMILIARITY
Somehow unlike other actors, who cater to one or two genres of the cine industry and struggle for a foothold in the other, Vicky Kaushal has been able to impress one and all. His power-packed performances have been loved by the critics. His movies and series are commercially successful, crossing the 200crore mark, making the commercial grossers happy. With his seemingly real looks and a meaningful twinkle in the eye, he is the new sweetheart of the Tinseltown with girls swooning all over him.

THE REALISTIC RELIABLE ACTOR
Though coming from a Bollywood background, Vicky Kaushal was not a star kid, nor was he made to expect or take anything for granted. He knew that he had to work hard and well in the industry to make it big. But, he was sure that this is what he exactly wanted to do. His conventional looks, unconventional style, and realistic passion made a rare package that now everyone wants a part of.

In his own words, Vicky Kaushal tries to willing to give his heart and soul in each of his projects and try each genre. This is much easier said than done. Vicky believes that he can only be a good actor if he is able to become the part his director wants him to be. He thus plans to give them a clean psychological slate to fill in the colours they desire. These are the makings of a true methodical actor.
HIS LOVE LIFE
He is the new heartthrob, and he is unmarried. So everyone is concerned with his love life, whether he likes it or not. He was earlier linked with Harleen Sethi, a television actor. Vicky shared some of her photographs on his Instagram account too. But, it did not last long. After a brief affair rumor with Bhumi Pednekar, his co-star in Takht, he is now believed to be dating Katrina Kaif. But, all this(his personal life) never seems to overpower the astounding work being done by this great actor.

2019 ALSO IS A VICKYEAR
The next anticipated Vicky Kaushal movie is the Karan Johar produced ‘Bhoot part one: the haunted ship’ , another experiment by this versatile actor of acing the horror genre. The movie also features Bhumi Pednekar. He is then touted to star in a multi starrer ‘Takht’ with Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Bhumi Pednekar, amongst others. It is a historical biopic, wherein Vicky Kaushal plays the role of Aurangzeb. This venture is a Karan Johar magnum opus.
Vicky will also portray the freedom fighter Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, in a biopic directed by Shoojit Sircar. This outstanding actor is about to prove his metle in these kinds of roles as well.

He will be reuniting with Dhar and Gulzar in an action film about the mythological character Ashwatthama and a biopic of the army officer Sam Manekshaw.
