Often their fitness regime includes some heavyweight training or even fancy exercise classes that are out of the reach of the ordinary. But sometimes, our favorite celebrities reveal some extreme diet plans that leave us all wondering, what in the world is that?

Apple Cider Vinegar Diet
Many Hollywood celebrities swear by Apple Cider Vinegar or ACV, as it popularly known as. It helps as their weight loss product and toxin removal remedy. From Victoria Beckham, Scarlett Johansson to Kim Kardashian everyone trusts ACV. Victoria Beckham even came on Instagram and encouraged her fans to try drowning two shots of ACV every morning on an empty stomach. Megan Fox came under the spotlight for promoting this extreme diet. However, ACV does have its own benefits as it cleanses our system and reduces body weight but many dietitians have claimed that these facts aren’t exactly true.
Baby Food Diet
It broke out as a new fad when celebrity fitness guru, Tracy Anderson reportedly put Jennifer Aniston on baby food diet to lose some pounds. Although Aniston afterward denied all those rumors, it didn’t stop the talks. The diet includes eating 14 to 17 jars of baby food instead of breakfast and lunch and then eating your regular dinner. Rumors broke out that celebs like Lady Gaga, Marcia Crass and Reese Witherspoon have followed the Baby Food Diet as well.
The Rainbow Diet follows the logic of eating one colored food a day. So you separate your food color by days of the week. Like Monday, you eat blue-colored food only. Similarly, Tuesday for yellow colored food and so on. Finally, on the seventh day, you eat a full rainbow. Celebrities like Christina Aguilera have highly praised this diet. Although it may sound bonkers to many, yet nutritionists and dietitians have praised this diet saying that it introduces more fiber and nutrients out of the same food in your diet.
Master Cleanse Diet
Our very own Queen Beyonce has followed this diet for her role in “DreamGirls”. She told Oprah in 2006, it helped her reduce almost 20 pounds within 2 weeks! This diet is basically a juice fast that you do for 10 days. You have to strictly avoid any solid food intake. Basically, just drink the juice. This diet may sound very easy and it may have worked for Beyonce, doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for everyone. Experts have said that it could be extremely risky for some people if not done under correct supervision. So before you jump onto the bandwagon, get your facts clear.
The PH/Alkaline Diet
The principle of Alkaline or PH Diet is that you eat food that deposits alkaline minerals in your body like calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, and copper. Most of the top celebrities in the industry like Kirsten Dunst, Kate Hudson, and Jennifer Aniston trust this diet. Above all, a healthy diet like this is good for anti-aging, better skin, and weight loss.
Goat Milk Cleanse Diet
Gwyneth Paltrow raised eyebrows in 2017 when she admitted to a US fitness magazine that she was on an 8-day Goat Milk Cleanse Diet. She survived only and solely on goat milk for nearly 8 days! Apparently, this was done to clear her body of parasites. According to the interview, she gave for the magazine, she mentions that she is quite interested in the impact of heavy metals and parasites in her system.
The Dukan Diet
Dukan Diet is known to be the ultimate solution to weight loss. Initially came out as another version of Keto, it is a high-protein, low-carb diet that helps you lose weight fast and keep it off for good, as long as you follow the rules. In the first two phases, you are only allowed to have protein and vegetables. After that, you can slowly add back other food groups to your diet and eventually will get two cheat meals a week. The idea is that the unlimited lean protein will help keep you full for longer. Celebrities who reportedly have been on this diet include Kate Middleton and Katherine Jenkins.
Celebrities including Gwenyth Paltrow and Madonna have reportedly followed this high-fiber diet. You basically cannot eat any processed or refined food and focus heavily on grains, local vegetables, and fruits. The diet is also popular among people for curing diseases and illness, but it hasn’t been proven yet.
Charcoal Lemonade Diet
Kim Kardashian is one of those celebrities who are famous for trying out risky and extreme diet plans. One such was the “Charcoal Lemonade Diet”. She stated that it makes her feel “cleansed and energized throughout the day.” But, If you don’t get what is risky about it, let us explain it to you. Activated charcoal is used in emergency rooms for things like drug overdoses to absorb toxins that have been ingested. Above all, it has been shown that it can interfere with certain medications and slow or even completely prevent nutrients from being absorbed. Therefore, Kim coming out and talking about this diet was quite controversial.
We are completely in dismay of these diet plans. Although, it is important to remember that we are all different. What may have worked for these celebrities, doesn’t necessarily mean it will work for you as well.
