Yummy cheesy goodness and still a flat tummy! Sounds absolutely divine right?  And this isn’t a myth anymore with keto-diet taking away all the attention.

So what does keto-diet mean? “Ketogenic,” or more popularly known as the keto-diet is a low carb diet. This diet involves more calories from protein and fat and less from carbohydrates. This makes your body run out of sugar and run on proteins and fat, making you lose weight.

This weight loss secret couldn’t stay away from our favourite celebrities as well. Check out these 9 celebrities who killed it with the keto diet.

1. Sonakshi Sinha

The Lady Dabangg of Bollywood who won hearts with her very first appearance on screen is very determined when it comes to lifestyle as well. When she appeared on screen for the first time, she used to be a massive 90kg. But like any other foodie, dieting wasn’t an option for Sinha as well and hence keto was her secret mantra blended with a rigorous workout that got her down with 30kgs less.

2. Sonam Kapoor

From Louis Vuitton to Gucci, our pretty and elegant “Aisha,” could be a tough competition to any Hollywood diva. But before she sparkled and took away with the paparazzi with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Saawariya,’ Sonam was a plumpy kid who weighed around 90kgs. But this diva’s dedication and passion with a strict keto diet and exercise got her losing 30kgs. For Miss Kapoor, there are no cheat days and if hunger strikes then dry fruits and milkshakes come to her rescue.

3. Arjun Kapoor

Like sister, like brother. Sonam Kapoor’s brother Arjun Kapoor was also overweight with a good 140kgs. But determination and passion run in the Kapoor blood and same goes for Arjun Kapoor, who is now a passionate gym shark with perfect abs. He believes in high protein with a lot of egg whites, boiled or grilled chicken or fish. He’s a hardcore ‘meatoholic’ and loves pineapples and strawberries.

She broke every stereotype with her debut, “Dum Laga Ke Haisha,” starring as an overweight woman facing hurdles and rejections from her husband. Bhumi Pednekar made us her fan with her brilliant performance. But after this role was over, it was a “game over,” for her weight too. While she enjoyed her food, she made sure she gave up on refined sugar, carbs, and alcohol. Mommy Pednekar helped her too. She sketched out a diet chart with simple homemade food.

5. Halle Berry

When it comes to a good diet, no celebrity can refrain away for too long, be it Bollywood or Hollywood. Halle Berry too adds up to this list. She isn’t secretive about her diet style and admits her love for keto diet and swears that she’s a hardcore meat lover. She despises added sugar to any of her foods and fills up her plate with good fats likes, avocado, coconut oil, and butter.

6. Kourtney Kardashian

When it comes to Kardashians, she tops the list of eating the healthiest. Kourtney Kardashian admits saying that keto-diet had “really positive effects,” on her health. She recalls a case when her blood was detected with a high level of mercury which got her to start with her keto-diet and she says that “life never felt this active and healthy” before. She replaces rice with cauliflower rice and broccoli rice.



7. Kim Kardashian

Kourtney isn’t the only Kardashian who’s an anti-carb, Kim follows the footsteps of her sister too. She went on this diet after giving birth to her son, Saint and lost a good 30kgs while being on the Atkins 40 diet. Atkins diet is basically for them who have less than 20 kgs to lose, it could be regarded as the ‘original keto diet.’

8. Megan Fox

The heartthrob of zillions, Megan Fox, mother of three switched to keto to get that pre-baby hot-bod back. She says that she cut down on bread and carbs which include her favourite snacks like, chips, pretzels, and crackers. She swears to say, “I don’t eat anything fun.”

9. Vanessa Hudgens

Our favourite Gabriella Montez a.k.a Vanessa Hudgens is a sucker for bacon and she can’t do without it in her keto-diet plan. She says that this diet plan helped her lose 20kgs and she believes in food to be a fuel. Her advice is, “eat things that keep you going for long and stop counting those calories.” We got you, Miss Montez!
