Every Friends fan ever wouldn’t deny the fact that one of the best parts of the ’90s sitcom was Rachel Green’s outfits. From the wedding dress in the introduction in the pilot episode to her streamlined, high-fashion wardrobe in the following seasons, the Central Perk waitress-turned-Ralph-Lauren-employee helped define some of the decade’s top trending outfits (and hairstyles). And now, 25 years after the show’s debut, Ralph Lauren is releasing a collection inspired by her iconic style.

For a span of several seasons, Rachel Green famously worked as a publicist at Ralph Lauren. The designer even made a cameo in Season 6, appearing in a scene while riding next to Rachel Green’s character in an elevator. To pay homage to the brand’s role in the series, Ralph Lauren partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products on a ‘Wear-To-Work’ collection inspired by Rachel’s character.
The Wear-To-Work Collection
This ‘Wear-To-Work’ collection is based on the character’s style, consisting of many of Green’s distinctive ’90s and ’00s pieces, given an update with the current style. These include; polo-neck knits, leather trousers and skirts, pin-striped suits, and mini and midi skirts, as well as a sprinkle of leopard print. The pieces come from both Polo Ralph Lauren and Lauren Ralph Lauren which means that many are more affordable than you might expect.
The collection will be on display at the same location where Rachel got her very first big fashion job, Bloomingdale’s. The same place will hold a very special Friends 25th anniversary installation. There will also be a recreation of Central Perk so that fans could grab a complimentary cup of coffee while shopping and visit the department store’s third floor to see a recreation of Rachel’s office.

Price starts from $30 for a plain Ralph Lauren T-shirt to $3,000 for the aforementioned leopard coat. Maybe there’s still time to donate a kidney or pivot (see what we did there?) your next 401K deposit into Ralph Lauren’s bank account instead. The collection is available on the Ralph Lauren website and as well as Bloomingdale’s stores across USA.
Celebrities Who’ve Kept Rachel Green’s Style Alive
It took 25 years for Ralph Lauren to decide how badly we needed a Rachel Green inspired wardrobe. While Friends may be over, her style legacy continues to reign supreme, with the likes of Ariana Grande, Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner sporting looks first worn by the OG ’90s Style Queen!
Just because we believe that no icon should go un-honored, we put together a little round-up of all the celebrities who’ve channeled their inner Rachel Green outside.
Gigi Hadid
When in doubt, wear a white power suit and channel your inner Rachel Green.

Rihanna
Red-hot with sleek straps. This fiery hot number was one of Rachel’s finest.

Kendall Jenner
A white t-shirt with mom jeans was one of the character’s signatures, and now it appears to be one of Kendall’s too.

Alexa Chung
And we have it here, folks, a fashion royalty paying homage to another! We love this updated recreation of Rachel’s baggy blue overalls.

Cameron Ruselle
The former Victoria’s Secret model nailed Rachel’s professional yet playful take on corporate dressing.

Bella Hadid

Ariana Grande
Rachel rocking this oversized NBA sweat-shirt is never going out of trend. Just ask Ariana Grande.

Kourtney Kardashian
The nice black dress is known as a classic for a reason and both Rachel and Kourtney have nailed the look.

Kendall Jenner
Rachel pretending that underwear was outerwear may as well have been a prophecy, because today, it is.

Bella Hadid
Bella Hadid’s pleated grey mini with those striking black boots are OG Rachel in the best way possible.

Early ’90s Rachel Green, aside from being a comedic genius and our first glimpse into early nouveau pop culture feminist, was an undeniable fashion icon. On top of, you know, creating one of the most iconic hairstyles of all time, Rachel was an indomitable style muse—preppy, sexy and 100% covetable. So it shouldn’t come as a surprise of why her style is still relevant. From her cropped turtle white necks to her black overalls with sneakers, everything is in place today as well!
It’s safe to say that Ralph Lauren will always be there for you.
