Cosmetic surgeries are becoming increasingly popular today, especially amongst the stars. From breasts to lips, the augmentation list is very long.
You would think that a person who has to face the camera every day will visit the best of doctors? Well, this doesn’t seem the case for all the celebs. Many stars have gone under the knife, only for us to wish they would go under once again. Such is the plastic surgery blunders in Hollywood of the following celebs.
Music’s late King of Pop had long been the subject of scrutiny over his looks. The singer has undergone chin reshaping, rhinoplasty, and some eye surgery performed. Additionally, many have also speculated of skin lightening procedures. But Jackson never understood the fuss. “All of Hollywood has plastic surgery. I don’t know why they point me out. The press exaggerated it. It’s just my nose, you know. They want it to be everything. Just the nose isn’t enough.”
Donatella, the vice president of the high-fashion brand Versace, has gone through a string of surgeries since the 1990s. Her most obvious modifications are her nose and lips, among other adjustments. On nearly every list of plastic surgery faux pas over the past few years, her trademark swollen smackers have scored her a spot. Though, no documented source says Versace is unhappy with her surgeries. But many still consider her a victim of plastic surgery blunders in Hollywood.
Jocelyn is a still-active New York socialite who married into a wealthy art-dealing family. Shortly before the demise of her 20-year marriage, Jocelyn began experimenting with plastic surgery in 1997. Consequently, it is reported that she has spent $4 million on numerous procedures. They are speculated to include cheek implants and numerous facelifts. Due to her dramatic alterations and catlike appearance she earned the nickname of “Bride of Wildenstein” and “Cat Woman”.
Tara Reid was best known for her role as high school sweetheart Vicky in American Pie. Although, now the Hollywood celebrity is known for her plastic surgery blunder. She got disastrous liposuction and breast augmentation performed on her. However, her bumpy breast scars weren’t as alarming as her spoiled belly. She said on The View, “I had body contouring, but it all went wrong. My stomach became the most ripply, bulgy thing.” Hence, Reid underwent reconstructive surgery in 2006. Afterwards, posed for Playboy in 2009 to show off her fixed plastic surgery.
Kelly Bensimon was the star in The Real Housewives of New York City. In 2008, the celebrity was attacked by the media for unabashedly flaunting her badly distorted breasts. Although, the former model doesn’t appear to have undergone reconstructive surgery yet. In the midst of these events, she had a run-in with copyright infringement and domestic violence.
Perhaps Jennifer Grey’s nose job would have had less of an effect on her career; if the romance flick-loving world hadn’t fallen so wildly in love with the face. Although her visual appearance remains pleasing. Unfortunately, the rhinoplasty she hoped would give her career a boost ended up demoting her instead.
La Toya Jackson
Micheal and La Toya Jackson have had an openly tumultuous relationship. After Michael was accused of child molestation the relationship got worse. In contrast, the only thing they had in common was the love of plastic surgery. Similarly to Michael, she got cheeks and chin implant on her face. The infamous Jackson family’s pointy nose also looks very different.
Tori Spelling played the lovable Donna Martin In Beverly Hills, 90210. However, she was chastised for her deformed breasts during the second season. She denied all the claims of receiving a breast augmentation. But finally admitted in 2008 to Entertainment Weekly. She said, “I wanted to come clean that I had my b**bs done in my 20s because people falsely write that I’ve had all these things done. I’ve had the two procedures that probably every other woman in Hollywood has had done.”
Lara Flynn Boyle
Lara Flynn Boyle is best known for her long run on ‘The Practice’ from 1997 to 2003. Although, curious minds aren’t certain what changes have been made to her face. But from the photos it is obvious the 49- year-old has had some procedures. It appears she has gotten the work done on her cheek muscles. Additionally, an upper lip implant has also been speculated. The changes became all too apparent throughout her appearance on ‘Law And Order’
Scott “Carrot Top” Thompson
“Top 10” lists of horrifying plastic surgeries is no stranger to the red-haired comedian. It seems like the comedian has undergone brow life, lip plumping, botox injection. Along with laser peels- which is evident due to the sudden lack of freckles. It’s speculated that he uses steroids, due to his suddenly muscular, veiny physique.
After his resurgence in the movie The Wrestler, fans were baffled seeing the screenwriter and the former boxer. It was due to his plastic surgery–riddled appearance. Suspected surgeries include a facelift, upper eye lift and finally a hair transplant.
The late Joan Rivers was a comedy veteran. Furthermore, she has been very candid about her multiple plastic surgeries. Consequently, she has written about her rhinoplasty, eye lift and breast augmentation in her 2008 book, Men Are Stupid…And They Like Big B**bs: A Woman’s Guide to Beauty Through Plastic Surgery. Rivers writes, “Looking good, equals feeling good … I’d rather look younger and feel happy than looking older and be depressed.”
There is no harm in getting plastic surgery. But you just need to make sure the doctor you are visiting is a professional, not a scammer. Another thing to keep in mind is less is more when it comes to cosmetic surgeries.
