This year’s Emmy Awards saw plenty of star power. All of your favorite faces from the small screen gathered to celebrate this great year in television. The fashion on display was up to par as well with some of our favorites rocking the red carpet. (Will you expect anything less from a show where Billy Porter is in attendance?) Several trends stood out this night too, with many women, including Mandy Moore, Taraji P. Henson and Susan Kelechi Watson, seen wearing with pink and red gowns, and legends like Viola Davis and Canadian star Catherine O’Hara stunning with classy black-and-white ensembles. However, we noticed another style pattern during the event. This year Emmys was all about low-line necks as well as high slits as some of the top celebrities were seen donning these styles.
Here is the list of celebrities to prove the statement.
Emilia Clarke
The Mother of Dragons was seen heating things up on the Emmys red carpet. Emilia Clarke arrived to the awards ceremony wearing a plunging navy blue gown by Valentino. She wore her hair down in a center part and colorful drop earrings, to accent this scary look. Although, Clarke was presenting an award, but most importantly, she was nominated in the Lead Actress in a Drama category for her Game of Thrones’ portrayal of fan-favorite-turned-dictator, Daenerys Targaryen. This was her first nomination in the category.

Phoebe Waller Bridge
We can’t get over how beautiful the Fleabag star looked for the night with sparkles, tulle and a plunging neckline in her Monique Lhuillier dress. Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s hair was styled by Dennis Gots using Dyson, and her makeup was applied by Nikki DeRoest using Chanel makeup. “The Ultra Le Teint Velvet Foundation gives you the blurred, velvet, flawless skin of your dreams.” the MUA wrote on Instagram.

Sandra Oh
A queen, a legend, a remarkable actress and impeccable dresser, this lady is one who will go down in history. Sandra Oh’s this year Emmys look gives us more to watch until we can see her grace the screen once again. The actress, like always, loves to play safe on the red carpet and this year was no exception. Sandra Oh looked just as incredible as she always does wearing this beautiful (and very tight) pink dress.

Massie Williams
Massie Williams wore an asymmetrical dress with two very different halves. According to a press release by JW Anderson, the custom Reuben Selby design was made by the brand. The dress was bisected right down the middle and looked like two different skirts that are sewn together. One half of this gorgeous dress boasted sparkly silver stars and a sheer overlay while the other side, a singular, satiny texture, a longer hem, and a blingy, silver brooch on the hip. Even the skinny straps on each side of her dress were mis-matched. The dress was a, well, stark contrast to the looks of her character, who often wore military-like attire during the series’ run.

Zendaya
Although, Zendaya’s buzzed about HBO show “Euphoria” was couldn’t make for any nomination for the evening, it didn’t stop the actress from bringing it on the red carpet a custom one-shoulder asymmetric silk charmeuse gown by Vera Wang. The dress features sheer corset detail as well as a hip-high slit. The subtle draping at the waist creates an ultra-flattering affect. Zendaya accessorized the sexy gown with diamond drop earrings, and a show-stopping statement diamond bracelet on her left wrist. Keeping the look monochromatic, she paired the dress with matching satin emerald green pumps by Brian Atwood. Zendaya walked the carpet solo.

Mandy Moore
The This Is Us actress wore a custom color-block Brandon Maxwell gown featuring an off-the-shoulder hot pink bodice and body-skimming red skirt with a high slit. She styled the design with Forevermark jewelry and red satin sandals. This was all done in collaboration with stylist Cristina Ehrlich, who helped craft her look.

Indya Moore
Pose star Indya Moore brings fearless fashion to the Emmys with their risqué custom Louis Vuitton gown. From the daring thigh-high slits to that corset top, the 24-year old beauty wasn’t afraid to push the style boundaries on the event night. Moreover, the gold accessories, heels and clutch were a chef’s kiss.

Catherine Zeta-Jones
Catherine walked the Emmys red carpet with her husband Michael Douglas. Zeta-Jones looked flawless in a draping, hot pink gown which wrapped around her shoulders in a unique but sexy cut. She paired the outfit with matching pink heels and drop earrings and wore her hair up like many other actresses attending TV’s biggest night.

All in all, the Emmy’s were a huge success this year for both fashion and television
