When it comes to fashion accessories these days, then a trendy hat is a much-maligned piece of clothing. Not only is a hat a suave way to finish off an outfit, but it’s also a versatile, function accessory that’s appropriate in any season whether sun, snow, rain. Trendy Hats are chic and a great way to protect you against anything that Mother Nature throws at you.

Years ago, both men and women used to wear hats as a social status. Women used to wear hats more often, which include head coverings called mob caps, Royal ascot with colorful feathers and even you can see Edwardian style hats in the movie, Titanic and the list goes on and on.
With a come back of hats fashion, especially for women there is a lot you can do to style yourself amazingly with it. To the fact that Hat styles get as creative as the people who wear them, but these are the basics you need to know to stay shady and cool with hats that match your face type.
HATS ARE THE PERFECT WAYS TO ENHANCE YOUR PERSONAL STYLE.
How to style them:
1.Oval face
When you have an egg-like face with face length that is roughly one and a half times greater than your face width then feel free to try any kind of hats.

You are actually blessed to have an oval face with a very versatile look. Those with oval faces can top off any hat so just pick up whatever suits your mood, as long as the hat is in harmony with your outfit. From Veiled hats to see through Visors, from Bucket hats to Floppy ones choose any and experiment with earrings, necklaces, and bracelets.
2. Round face
When your face is of the same width and length with a round chin, full cheeks, and around the hairline.

To distract people’s attention from your facial curves, go for a hat with a high crown and straight brim. Like a Boy George–style hat which gives your face more angles. And you can even go for hats with a farther back, fedoras, angular hats, and long sock hats as it makes you look younger than other shapes.
3. Oblong face
If you have an oblong face with high foreheads and face length longer than it is wide. Then you must try a hat with a flared brim and low crown.

Hats such as sunhat, a cloche, or a fedora with a large brim, offset well with the length of a long face. A floppy hat with a deep crown will create a horizontal angle to your face, making it look less elongated just like a beret and a trapper hat.
4. Heart-shaped face
It is a quite common face type wherein you have a broad forehead and/or wide cheekbones and pointy chin. You must go for hats that balance out the width of your forehead.

Although any type of hat will work well on you except those with large brims because they only accentuate your forehead and narrow your chin. Yet the must-try hats are fedoras, short brims, thin-knit sock hats especially for winters and of course the jockey caps.
5.Triangle face
Triangular faces will be characterized by a large jawline, slightly smaller cheekbones, and the smallest forehead.

When it comes to a triangle like a face, then your hat must bring balance to your shoulder line, and accent to your garment. Also never get close to a crown that is narrower than the cheekbones. So you can go for straw hats, pincushion hats.
6. Square face
If your face length is almost equal to its width and the distance from forehead to chin and from cheek to cheek are roughly the same. Then you have a square face. The best thing you can go for is experiment with circular style hats.
And the goal is to wear hats that soften your angles like fedoras, floppy hat, pillbox hats. Even the retro and ever-classy cloche hat of the 1940s adds some softness to your look.

And of course from centuries ladies’ hats have moved in and out of fashion throughout history but still, it is one of the most fascinating accessories.
Isn’t it fascinating how good designs evolves from basic function?
