Admit It! We’ve all been out here practicing, smudging, applying, removing and hopefully perfecting, our winged liner game. For the longest time, kajal and eyeliner was the only eye makeup that women used to enhance and bring out her eyes.
Today, there are so many ways out there to a great eye makeup look, from killer mascara to the perfect eyeliner, brows on fleek and all that artistic eye shadow skills.
Eye makeup trends have shifted from all black to bright, pops of eye shadow, glitter highlighters and even glow in the dark makeup!
Whether it’s a graphic cat-eye or fake lashes, see what makeup looks are currently trending on Instagram and have fun experimenting them yourself.
Neon Inner Corner Eyeshadow
Neon is shaping up to be the biggest color trend of the year.
From fashion to beauty and even accessories, we keep seeing neon shades of pink, orange, yellow and most of all green, pop up on our Instagram feeds, and ohhh no no, we’re not tired of it yet, the obsession has just begun.
Kylie Jenner‘s inner corner shadow is sure to turn heads.
The neon inner corner eyeshadow is such an easy look to recreate, you’ll be grabbing your poppy eye shadow palette and brushes and get to work in no time.
Shimmer
When your look calls for a little extra glam, our makeup artists suggest placing a tiny dot of shimmer in the corner of the eyes which makes the look a lot fresher and pop.
While applying the highlighter, sweep a little from your cheekbones to your temple and on your lids.
Too glam to give a damn.
Playful Mod eyes
Use your favorite colored bold eyeliner to make a single (or double) dot below your lower lash line — it’s that simple but also guaranteed to make a chic statement.

The idea is to make it minimal yet fun.
Here’s Katy perry slaying the dot eyeliner game.
Dab a Q-tip in your eyeliner and place the dots wherever you want near your eyes. You can even make 2-3 dots of random size to unleash the creative, playful you. Just don’t go around making dost everywhere, I’m sure you don’t want to look like a person walking down the street with pox.
Bright Eye Shadow
There’s a strong impact of colorful eye shadow on the makeup world. Gone are the days when people were obsessed with the dramatic smokey eyes and darker shades of eyeshadow.
I mean, is there a look that kylie can’t pull off?
Among the latest eye shadow trends, there’s yellow, green, orange, pink, blue eye shadow (and well any color that works best for you).
They emphasize, brighten and flatter the eyes. These colors might seem a little intimidating to try but trust me on this, it’s worth the try. And hey, if it doesn’t work, you can always clean it off. No pressure.
Double Eyeliner
So, what should you do once you’ve practiced and perfected your winged eyeliner? well, add another wing! This summer may we suggest you give double eyeliner a go?
Hannah Bronfman rocked this graphic yellow and black liner combo. Slaaaaay.
You must be thinking double eyeliner means double trouble, double practice, and double smudging. But did you think it this way- double eyeliner could also mean double glam, double depth, and double maaaagic.
The look requires patience, focus, creativity, and, of course, a steady stabilized hand, but the end result is totally worth it.
Add colour to your eyes with this style. Line your eyes with a black liner and create a winged tip. Now, line a colourful liner above the black liner and follow the winged shape. It intensifies the liner and makes it look red carpet ready.
Here’s a tutorial to help you get that perfect double eyeliner look.
Coloured Mascara

This summer is all about those poppy colors you’ve been avoiding for your eyes. Yup, we’re talking about hues of yellow, light blue, light greens and all those bright colors.
Colorful mascara can enhance your eyes, making them appear brighter and more awake. Whatever you do, just keep the rest of your makeup minimal so that your beauty look doesn’t become too shabby and busy,

This summer we suggest you step out of your comfort zone and reach for that brightly colored mascara. Get inspired by your favourite looks on Instagram below-
Negative Space
Subtle yet so striking!
This look can be a little tricky to master but if practiced and perfected, it can really add a lot to your appearance. This includes creating the impression of a cat-eye by drawing on incomplete wings — tracing the top lashes, extending the line past the outer corners, then bringing the line back to just before the crease without filling in the negative space.
Coloured Eyeliner
I know black and brown eyeliners are so classic, they match with your eyes and hair color and almost perfectly go with every outfit that you wear. But there are sooo many colors in the rainbow to make you stand out on a sunny day. So don’t be afraid to play with colors on your eye.
Just get out of the comfort zone, add that element of surprise and let your liner steal all the attention.
The classic cat-eye has been and will be reinvented in more way than one in 2019. Bright pops of color on the eyes will again, without a doubt, make their way into 2019.
Allow all the vibrant colors from freshly bloomed spring flowers to inspire you to have fun with your eye makeup game.
