Basking around on a sunny day is always fun if the tan is at bay!
How about, you spend your day out in the sun and you don’t have to worry about that tan? If Yes! Then you’re chilling on the right piece.
Summer is here and staying in is not an option? But what about that stubborn sun tan? Don’t worry; we’ve got you covered with some effective home remedies. Let’s get started, shall we?
1. Honey and Lemon juice
Love that yummy honey? Well so does your skin. Add a teaspoon of honey to fresh lemon juice and apply evenly on your skin and let it sit for 30 minutes. Wash it off and you’re on with the new glow.
2. Tomato and yogurt
No! We’re not making raita here. Or maybe we are, but this one’s for your skin. Tomato and yogurt help in skin lightening. You need to peel a tomato and blend it with 1-2 teaspoon of fresh yogurt. Apply this wherever you’re tanned and let it sit for 20 minutes and then wash it. You’ll see amazing results in no time, or maybe in 20 minutes.
3. Gram flour and turmeric
Turmeric, the secret beauty tip which even your daadi will agree to. Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric to a cup of gram flour and mix with some milk till it becomes a paste. Then apply it evenly on your tanned skin. But make sure that your proportion is right because you don’t wanna end up looking like a minion.
4. Potato juice
We love french fries but our skin loves that potato juice, one of the simplest recipes of this article. Blend a raw potato, squeeze out the juice and apply it to your skin. You can also use potato slices for your eyes. Leave this on your skin for 10 to 12 minutes. This will not only give a healthy glow but also soothe your skin.
5. Papaya and honey
…And Honey sure is our star for today. As good as they are for your health, ripe papaya can work wonders for your skin. Cut 4-5 cubes and add 1 tsp of honey to it and mash well. Apply this smooth paste evenly all over your skin and let it sit for a good 20-30 minutes. Get, set, papaya, go!
6. Red lentil, tomato, and Aloe Vera
This ain’t dinner cooking here; this is a magic remedy in making! Red lentil is a strong remedy which helps in curing sun tan. Aloe Vera is a universal moisturizer that soothes your skin. Soak 1 tablespoon of red lentil in water for a few hours until it’s soft. Drain the water and blend it. Then add 1 tsp of Aloe Vera and 2 tsp of fresh tomato juice and mix it together. Apply this magic paste and leave on for 20 minutes. Once you’re done, wash it off with water.
7. Buttermilk and oatmeal
It’s a yummy summer drink and once you’re done drinking, just rub it on your skin. No, we’re kidding, but buttermilk is known to be rich in lactic acid and oatmeal is an excellent exfoliant and has great skin cleansing properties. Soak 2 tsp of oats in some water for 5 minutes and add 2 or 3 tsp of fresh buttermilk to it and mix well. Apply it evenly on your skin and let it sit for 20 minutes. Wash it off and there you are with a cleaner looking skin.
Let’s go out? Sure let’s go, no more tanning worries and no more hassles. Be summer-ready any day.
