There was a time when the sunnies types like aviators to cat-eye were a fashion accessory all year round. Though they still are, there are more trends now. When we talk about sunglasses the best trends always come from Bollywood stars as they know sunglasses are the ultimate best-approved punch in a look. But did you know that?!
Let’s find out which sunglasses are trending in Bollywood.
1. Extra Oversized Sunglasses
Extra oversized is one of the newest sunglasses trends for 2019. Large sunglasses are not new to us but next season we’ll be seeing sunglasses that end at the tip of the nose or extend even below. From Dior to Tom Ford to Gucci, designers are giving us new fashion goals. In extra oversized form, they either go for square, rectangular or blade style. If you’re done with a black lens and frame then go for translucent frame and berry shade lens!
2. The Round Frames
Round sunnies are a staple piece. Iconic. These small, circular shades are perfect for that old school retro vibe, instantly throwing you back into the mid-70s. Adding a spin to the typical round lens, the design is mixed with many other colors, shapes, and styles. These translucent Green Havana sunglasses from Miu Miu add a vibrant pop of color to the face. And although they’re on the pricier side, they’re definitely a recommended investment.
Ditch the boring black and brown frames and go for pop colors this season. From olive green to red to yellow, pick the color of your choice and rock the summer in style. You can also match the frame color to your outfit to make it look more gorge! Afterall, multicolored outfits are trending as the top fashion colors for Spring 2019. And yeah, shapes like rectangular, cat-eye and round are still trendy so don’t hesitate to choose the style you love.
4.Cat Eyes Sunglasses
Some people may wonder why on earth we’d want to look like a cat. But with the new cat-eye sunglasses trend, it’s something almost everyone wants. Cat Eye sunglasses aren’t just any typical sunglasses, they add that something extra to everything.
Instead of changing the color of your frame, why not try a frame with patterns instead? The Printed Frames add a sense of quirkiness to the outfits and they become the focal point of any outfit. There’s no better way to brighten up your look than with a daring pattern of adventurous colors.
6.Flat Top Sunglasses
Now, comes one of the most trendy and favorite sunglasses trends for 2019. Sunglasses usually have a curvy shape on the top, but in Spring 2019 collections, we saw flat top sunglasses. Cool, isn’t it? Either narrow sunglasses with a flat top or oversized glasses with a flat top, both give an amazing look.
This season is of both narrow and oversized sunglasses. Either go for extra oversized or too narrow ones. After seeing collections like Dior, Gucci which had mostly oversized sunglasses, we thought that narrow sunglasses are not gonna make it through our sunglasses trends report for 2019. But kudos, here they are! From patterned to colorful frames, we are seeing many variations in this sleek style.
Aviators are the all-time classic sunglasses. The Aviator design transforms an outfit, giving it that cool yet fierce touch. Modern twists to the style include reflective or colorful lenses but our favorite has to be the vintage classic: gold frame, green lens. The simplistic and dark design goes with everything, which makes them so easy to wear.
Mirror Glasses are also quite popular amongst the stars. Whether its purple-hued mirrored sunglasses or Lennon but with a blue-y touch or even tinted ones. They always enhance the look even more.
10. Retro glasses
It’s time for the 90s revival we have all been waiting for. Sunglasses were big back in the day and currently, they’re witnessing a comeback stronger than the Jonas Brothers. The archetypical frames have always been far away from the conventional sun-protection formula. Mostly seen as a fashion accessory in 2019, micro-sunnies are enjoying their time in the limelight.
Top off your outfit with a pair of sunnies and you’re good to go. Sunglasses are a must for this season, but what kind of style is for you?
