Detective Jake Peralta and Lieutenant Terry Jeffords from ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ made a special appearance in the show
We have come across quite a few crossovers in TV shows, but one might wonder how is it possible to have a crossover between an animated and a live-action TV series? Well, if you are having similar thoughts, then you will be surprised to find out that Jake Peralta and Terry Jeffords from the famous sitcom, ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ have made short appearances in ‘Paradise PD’. In fact, an entire episode has been solely dedicated to ripping off the NBC TV show ‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’. Probably the inconsiderate trolling was the reason why the real actors behind the roles, Andy Samberg and Terry Crews, didn’t lend their voices to their characters.

Episode 2, “Big Ball Energy’s” FBI Operative Agent Clappers is a parody of Cedric Daniels from ‘The Wire’
If you recall, the second episode from season 1, “Big Ball Energy”, has a guest star, an FBI Operative Agent Clappers and the inspiration for the same is taken from ‘The Wire’s’ Cedric. The voice behind this animated character is pretty similar to Cedric’s broken and husky voice. Well, the imitation doesn’t stop here, even the animation of the character looks like a replica of the real one.
The show also includes a funny reference which is when Kevin says that he wants to help his dad, but he doesn’t know a thing about the wire; to which, Agent Clappers replies in a rather angry tone, “What do you mean you don’t know about ‘The Wire’? It was the best show ever”. Honestly, we don’t blame Clappers for raising his voice, ‘The Wire’ did rule many hearts.

The animated sitcom ‘Brickleberry’ was also created by the writers of ‘Paradise PD’
If while watching ‘Paradise PD’, you felt a resemblance to the show ‘Brickleberry’, it was because they both have the same creators.
The writers of ‘Paradise PD’, Waco O’ Guin and Roger Black, first rose to fame with their adult animated sitcom ‘Brickleberry’, which aired for three seasons on Comedy Central and was based on similar grounds as ‘Paradise PD’. The show ‘Brickleberry’, shared some of the same funny moments and lines as ‘Paradise PD’. However, there was only one difference, instead of cops, the show ‘Brickleberry’ revolved around Park Rangers.

The production in the second season was moved from Argentina to Mexico
This is something that might have gone unnoticed if you were watching the show in the English language, but if you were watching the second season dubbed in Spanish, then you must have detected that the cast of actors who dubbed the season in Spanish was different from that in the first season.
If you are wondering about the reason for this change, it was because the production was moved from Argentina to Mexico, and it surely made more sense to hire the cast from Mexico instead of flying the entire cast from Argentina.
