As the title suggests, the adventures of the duo, who also quite often refer to themselves as the “El Dude Brothers’’, are presented in point-of-view shots. In addition, the show highlights the thoughts of the main characters, Mark and Jeremy, which are audible as voice-overs, making the dialogues some of the funniest ‘Peep Show’ quotes evern.

The series has been regarded as a highly original effort in the world of British comedy. Besides adopting a first-person perspective, the show is packed with adult humour that is led by some great set of acting skills.

Did David Mitchell throw hints about reboot details?
Inquisitive and impatient fans have been wondering if there will ever be a reboot in the making. To their delight, David Mitchell may have thrown hints about a possible reboot in the near future.
In an interview with iTV lead presenter Lorraine Kelly, Mitchell admitted it would be interesting to discover what Corrigan and flatmate Jez Usborne – played by close friend Robert Webb – are doing.
“With ‘Peep Show’ we felt we are now middle-aged men, we can’t play young men just after university anymore. We’ve always said that maybe in 20-years’ time we’ll return to them and see what’s happened to them, or maybe in 40-years’ time we’ll return to them in an old people’s home”, he added.
How exciting is that? While fans eagerly await news of a reboot, there are rumours about a female-led US reboot that has been making the rounds since 2019. According to online sources, the FX network has taken over the project. Furthermore, the American version already has a script in development with Karey Dornetto as the lead writer.
Many shows have been adopted from the UK to the US and vice versa, most of them comedies. It will be interesting to see what changes ‘Peep Show’ US brings about to the script, now that the times have changed, as will the country.
‘Peep Show 2.0’ reboot release date confirmation
Now that the cat is out of the bag, it is time to reveal the much-awaited information you’ve been waiting for. Based on the exhilarating hints David Mitchell threw back in 2018, the much-awaited reboot should release sometime in 2021.
However, since there has been no information on the hopeful British development, it seems like the “El Dude Brothers” won’t be seen together in the near future.
Meanwhile, the female-led American version of the show is being speculated to release in 2021. Keeping in mind that all productions have been stalled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the upcoming ‘Peep Show’ US series could most probably release in late 2021 or early 2022.
