So, we beg to ask the question- Is Dracula really dead?
‘Castlevania’: How Dracula met his end
Season 1 premiered with the lead ‘Dracula’ living alone in a cold, beautiful castle until he meets a human and falls in love with her. His human wife teaches Dracula to engage with humans (big mistake) and to try and live in harmony with them. But her advocating for humans goes wrong when the church people mistake her for a witch and burn her alive.

And Dracula, the hero of the show, soon transforms into a troubled guy and falls onto a dark path. A path where he wishes to spew misery on anything alive and with a beating heart. And, in Trevor Belmont, the audience finds a former monster hunter with an impressive family history.
‘Castlevania’ also has Sypha, a priest-sorceress, tasked with knowledge about magic and a strict moral code; Dracula’s half-son, Alucard; and the only humans inside the castle – Hector and Issac. But, season 2 brings a new vampire in town, Carmilla, who wants to overthrow Dracula’s empire and, in the confrontation that follows, Dracula meets his end.

So, is Dracula dead and why do fans think season 4 could bring him back?
Dracula: The dead can’t be dead
In season 4, fans are expecting Dracula to make a comeback to the series, all thanks to several clues provided to us in the previous season. In the finale episode of season 3, the Lindenfeld leaders prove successful and open a gateway to Hell, and almost manage to bring Dracula back to life.
Even though the mission to bring Dracula back proves to be unsuccessful because of Saint Germain, we now know that Dracula can return to Earth. It is undoubtedly a matter of time before someone tries again and succeeds in bringing him out of the underworld.
Another detail the audience considers as a further clue is in the brief appearance of Dracula in season 3’s finale when he is seen reuniting with his wife Lisa (Emily Swallow) in Hell. If the vampire returns to Earth, it will provide a neat narrative parallel with the last time Dracula was alive and on Earth.
So, when do we find out if the theory is correct or not?
Season 4 ‘Castlevania’: When will it be out?
Netflix confirmed that the anime series would be back for a fourth season in March 2020. However, owing to the coronavirus outbreak, fans of the show should not be expecting anything new till mid-2021.
Richard Armitage as Trevor Belmont, James Callis as Adrian Tepes, Alejandra Reynoso as Sypha Belnades, M’Cormack as Isaac, Theo James as Hector, Jessica Brown Findlay as Lenor, Jaime Murray as Carmilla Yasmine, and Al Massri as Morana will all be returning to their roles.
