Scroll down to find the most promising bachelors from the hit ABC reality show ‘The Bachelor’.
No wonder ‘The Bachelor’ is a highly profitable franchise for ABC now that it has successfully completed 24 seasons and will return with a new bachelor in 2021. The widespread success of the show has paved way for several spin-offs like ‘The Bachelorette’, ‘Bachelor in Paradise’, and ‘The Bachelor Winter Games’ to name a few. The franchise has given us some really good-looking men, who hope to find the love of their lives by the end of the show. Keep scrolling to find out how far your favourite bachelor makes it in the list.
- Who is the star of ‘The Bachelor’ Season 25?
- Are Sean and Catherine from season 17 still together?
- Juan Pablo from season 18 makes it to the list, but for all the wrong reasons.
Who doesn’t remember Sean Lowe? The 28-year-old football player from Texas swooned ‘The Bachelor’ fans with his blue eyes, from the very first moment he appeared on the screen. He still remains one of the most beloved bachelors from the franchise mostly because of his successful relationship with the winner even after the show.
The original virgin bachelor proposed Catherine Giudici in 17th season followed by a beautiful televised wedding. The couple remains a success story and is still going strong in 2021 with three adorable babies.
The star of season 23 of ABC’s hit dating show deserves a good spot in the most popular bachelors list for entertaining fans the whole season, especially when he jumped the fence after the front runner Cassie Rudolph refused his proposal.
Colton who claimed to be a virgin before he entered the show, continues to garner a lot of attention on social media. Colton announced his breakup with Cassie on Instagram earlier this year stating that:
“It’s been a crazy few months, to say the least, Cass and I have been doing a lot of self-reflecting”.
We all knew Ben Higgins would be a great pick for the show when he was placed 3rd on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’. The software salesman from Indiana was an immediate hit among fans when he went on to become the 20th bachelor.
Ben finally proposed to Lauren Bushnell at the end of his season and even got his own spin-off show ‘Ben and Lauren: Happily Ever After?’ Though the couple parted ways in 2017.
Who would have thought a farmer from Arlington, Iowa, will have four reality shows under his belt? First appearing on Andi Dorfman’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’, Chris made a lasting impact on the audience and was quickly picked by producers for the 19th season of ‘The Bachelor’.
The charming farmer proposed Whitney Bischoff but called off the engagement in mid-2015. The former bachelor was earlier arrested in 2017 for a hit and run case which left one man dead.
Andrew was the cliched definition of ‘The Bachelor’ when he starred in the 3rd season of the dating show. The heir to Firestone tires expressed his love for Jen Schefft as he handed her the final rose. The couple dated for 7 months and broke up in December 2003.
Married to Ivana Bozilovic now, Andrew Firestone is a father of three.
Nick first made an appearance in ‘The Bachelor Nation’ as one of the suitors on Andi Dorfman and Kaitlyn Bristowe’s seasons of ‘The Bachelorette’.
He got the opportunity to be a part of not one but three ‘The Bachelor’ shows before he was finally announced as the next bachelor in 2016, at the end of which he proposed Vanessa Grimaldi who was clearly his first choice from day one (let’s be honest).
Much like most other bachelors, Jason finished runner up on one of the Bachelorette seasons and later landed a season of his own. The single dad on season 13 of ‘The Bachelor’ performed quite a stunt when he asked runner up Molly Malaney to accept his proposal after he broke up with the original winner Melissa Rycroft.
Though Jason might have developed a few enemies after the finale, fans can’t argue the entertainment he brought along. Jason married Molly in 2009 and both are raising their daughter in Washington.
Arie Luyendyk Jr.
Season 22 of ‘The Bachelor’ will go down as one of the most boring seasons. Thanks to Arie Luyendyk Jr. But the dramatic finale compensated everything for him when he dumped his fiancée Becca Kufrin (live on camera) and returned to the runner-up Lauren Burnham.
The finale debacle benefitted Kufrin immensely as she bagged season 14 of ‘The Bachelorette’ in the finale of which she picked Garret Yrigoyen.
The first-ever star of the hit franchise ‘The Bachelor’ came to know about the auditions for season 1 via an email while he was a student at Harvard Business School. Alex gave the rose to the winner of season 1- Amanda Marsh – but did not propose to her and the two broke up after dating for a year.
Unlike other fellow bachelors who pursued entertainment/TV industry after the show, Alex went back to the business world and is currently based in New York.
Juan Pablo Gavalis
When ABC announced its first Latino Bachelor in 2013, fans took the announcement with a great sense of enthusiasm, mostly because it welcomed diversity. Juan Pablo got enormous limelight, all for the wrong reasons, while he led the 18th season of ‘The Bachelor’.
Only two weeks later, after the first episode, Juan expressed his belief that there shouldn’t be a gay or bisexual Bachelor, which he later apologised for. He didn’t even propose the winner Nikki Ferrell who broke up with him soon after the show.
Already renewed for 25th season which will star Matt James, the first Black male lead of the hit franchise, it looks like ABC is likely to continue the show for several more seasons. No doubt, it makes great TV for the audience who eagerly wait to see who these young men propose at the end of the season.
